"This is not what I had in mind", Keeho announced and inspected the vegetables. I raised an eyebrow, asking: "What even did you have in mind?" He shrugged and took a bite. "I had planned to just get inspired along the way", he mumbled. I rolled my eyes grinning. Soul was eating silently while Intak had left to meet up with some his friends. Theo watched me closely, trying to not be suspicious while doing so. However, he hadn't yet noticed the clear reflection of him on one of the windows that definitely busted him. I wondered what was going on in his head right now. There was a lot of new stuff to adapt to. Just as I wanted to start a conversation, the door opened and Jongseob walked in, stopping as he saw us.
"Am I too late for dinner?", he asked. Soul shook his head. "We're early today", he said. I think this was the first time, Theo had heard his voice. I grinned. "How come?", the newcomer asked and dropped on his usual seat next to Keeho. "Long story", the latter one said quickly. Jongseob shrugged and turned to Theo, holding out his hand to him. "Hi. Jongseob. You must be our new flatmate, right?", he changed topic. The other one nodded and introduced himself. While I went to put some food on another plate for Jongseob, I heard him say: "I bet every girl is jealous of Katy by now. Another handsome young man she's sharing the house with." I tilted my head. Give me a break for once. "It's none of our business", Soul interrupted him firmly. "We tried to find a female flatmate, but you remember how they were, don't you?", Keeho added. "How were they?", Theo asked. "Driving me crazy", I said as I returned from the kitchen. Jongseob thanked me for the food as I sat down again. "Not only you", Soul sighed before he took the last bite. "I'll be in my room", he added and left without another word. "Up for gaming tonight?", Keeho shouted after him. A thumbs up was the only answer.
While Keeho and Jongseob cleaned the table, I let myself drop on the couch next to Theo. He looked lost, so I decided to give him company. "So?", I asked, "How's the first impression? Be brutally honest." "It's... good overall. Need to adapt to some stuff, I guess. But I think we'll have a good time", he answered. "You bet", I yawned as I stretched myself, "These guys know how to have fun." He nodded, unsure of what to say. I smiled softly. "Let me tell you a bit of basic info about them, shall I?", I offered and he nodded again, thankful.
"So, there's Intak, Keeho and me as the first residents as you know. I don't know how to describe me, but the others tend to say stuff like kind, caring and organized. I myself would say I like honesty, so be honest and we'll get along well. For the rest – judge for yourself. Intak's my brother. He's probably the strongest around here, so don't mess with him. But he's one of the friendliest inhabitants on this earth, messing with him is hard itself. And he's very passionate about his dreams. Don't get in his way or bother one of his loved ones and you'll be fine. Otherwise give it time and wait for him to approach you again.
Keeho is a bit more... complicated may I say. He knows what he wants and he is quite sassy, sometimes also a bit whiny. But deep inside, he's very kind and loving and teasing people is just his way of showing it. But don't worry, you know if you really set him off. You can just talk it out with him usually.
Soul was the next one to move in. He's been friends with Keeho for a long time already, longer than Intak and I. He might seem cold and not like a man of many words, but he just has to get used to you. He needs time for himself a lot as well. Sometimes he's quite random too. But he is someone very reliable, thankful and loving; he just doesn't say it out loud. If you somehow annoy him, it's best to approach him soon but with a lot of care, maybe not personally at first but with a note or something.
Jongseob also got introduced to us by Keeho. They meet at a party and somehow clicked really well from the start. I know him the least as well but he's working hard towards his dreams and once he feels comfortable around you, he is very cheerful. He also will always be there to support you when you reach out to him. I honestly don't know how to annoy him or make up whenever that would happen. We get along well until now, so... Sorry, no tips here."
I shrugged after my long monologue. "That was quite some good info already, thanks a lot", Theo answered brightly. I waved it off. "What about you? Anything we should know?", I wanted to know. He shrugged. "I don't know. Anything you want to know?", Theo gave back. I thought about it, then shrugged laughing. "I am not good with conversations like this", I admitted. He laughed softly. Suddenly I remembered something, snipping my fingers as I did so. He looked at me confused. "I forgot Jiung", I explained, "Gosh, how can I forget Jiung?" He looked at me interested. "Jiung is originally Intak's friend", I went on, "But he is living here more or less. He often visits or stays over, so don't be surprised if you see someone sleeping on the couch after coming down here. He is supporting and someone comfortable to be around with. He just goes his way and doesn't care a lot about what others have achieved. He doesn't compare himself, you know? You'll like him, I guess." "I look forward to meeting him", he assured me. We went silent, none of us knowing what to say now.
"May I ask something even if it's a sensitive topic?", Theo asked to finally break the silence. I tilted my head. "Ask and I'll decide if I want to answer", I gave back. "Uhm, so... I don't know how to ask it properly, so I'll just say it straight out – What is it with you and romantic relationships? What do I have to know about it?", he asked. I was silent for a few seconds before carefully choosing my words and answering: "For now, all you have to know is that dating is a topic you can talk to me about, but you shouldn't try to figure out my dating history or why I am not interested and simply accept it. Remember though that I consider myself a realistic person when it comes to love, so you might find my opinions on the whole thing rather... unromantic. However, that's all. If I ever feel like you need to know more or for some reason even want you to, I will tell you more. But for now, that's it."
