The next morning Eddie was gone before we even woke up. He had a big meeting with geffen records about the tour the band would be starting In a few weeks.
They were going to pair corroded coffin with a big name band for them to be an opening act. There was a lot of talk about potential bands. Eddie had bands he wanted to work with but he wasn't sure who they would pick.
It was a few hours before he got home and when he walked threw the door I could tell his adrenaline was high. He was all smiles and big hugs and couldn't keep still.
"Well are you going to tell me or do I have to guess." I say with a laugh.
"Ok, ok. So they wanted to pair us with a band that was not only hugely popular but also we could get along with personally. A band that's older and more settled down with families too."
He quickly explained going a mile a minute.
"Ok...."
"Ok I'll give you one guess." He said jumping up and down. He stuck his tongue out far as it could go, closing his eyes and holding up a rock n roll sign. My brows furrowing for a minute before my eyes grow wide as it hits me.
"KISS!" Clapping and pumping his arms in celebration, happy I guessed right.
"Omg I love them! That's so awesome! Im so excited for you guys." Jumping and hugging him.
"I guess they aren't really into the drugs and alcohol scene. We will be with them for one leg to start from starting on November, 13 in Jackson, Mississippi to December 7 then I'll Fly home from Toledo. Just in time for Christmas. And get this there are a few dates in Near Hawkins. So we can go home and see our friends. Then mostly like they will add more dates after the new year."
Two weeks later Will and I were touching down in Indianapolis to met Eddie in tour. Dustin and Steve were picking us up from the airport and we were going to spent a few days in Hawkins to see everyone. Go back to Fort Wayne for one show then head back to Hawkins and spend thanksgiving with them. Eddie was lucky to get thanksgiving off but he would had to get back on the road early the next morning but all of us were looking forward to seeing our friends again.
"Cara!!!!" I heard my name being screamed and shifting Will on my hip I see a curly head teen frantically waving.
"Dustin! Omg" pulling him into a hug.
"Your taller!....how dare you get taller then me!" Playfully punching his chest after I set down my luggage.
"Well your short it's easy to do." Steve jokes as he grabs our bags.
"When does Eddie get in?" Dustin asks while tickling Will.
"Late Tomorrow or the day after depending on when they leave the venue. But then he is renting a car and driving to Hawkins till the concert. Oh which they set aside a front row tickets for everyone. On the house." Dustin arm pumps in excitement.
"I still can't believe he is touring with KISS. That's insane." Steve shakes his head holding the door open for us.
"Yea gene and his girlfriend are super sweet."
"Wait. Wait, You've met Gene Simmons!" Dustin stops walking.
"Yea they are super sweet. Took us out to eat before they left."
"What!" He says again causing me to laugh.
"Yea I've also met Aerosmith too. The toxic twins are super nice too. Joe Perry and Eddie get along really well." I say grabbing Dustin by the shoulder to catch up with Steve.
"That's just insanity! So freaking cool."
"So will we get to meet any body famous?" Steve asks and I just shrug
"maybe. Especially if you come back stage. Who's all planning to come anyway?"
