"Callum. Callum. Hey ! That's your name, right ? Callum ? Clem ? Or it was Camel ?" Said Rayla.
"Uh, It's Callum" He said.
"I guess I was just distracted trying to draw this...Primal ball"
"Primal stone" I corrected him as I sit beside him.
"Right" He said.
"It holds the pure essence of a primal spirit inside" He continued.
"Primal sources ?" I said, playfully rolling my eyes.
"Right"
" You do know what the six primal sources are ?" Asked Rayla.
"Uh, if I say yes, are you gonna make me name them ?" He asked awkwardly.
Rayla groaned before taking his book and started to draw the symbols of the primal sources.
"All magic in the world come from the primal sources. They're the original and purest forms of magical energy" She explained.
"The sun, the moon, the Stars, the earth, the ocean, and... "
" The sky" said Callum.
"Yes"
"To cast a spell, a mage needs primal energy. So that wind breath you did. You'd usually need a strip or at least a strong breeze. But with that stone you have all power of the sky, anytime"
"Wow " Said Callum.
"Primal stones are incredibly rare" I told him.
"They've been sought after by the most powerful arch-pages in history. And now, somehow you have one "
"Wait, I...I've seen these before. At the banter lodge" He said, talking about the symbols of the primal source.
"There was a little cube thing and it had these exact symbol on it"
"Uh, neat" Said Rayla.
"What if it magic ? We have to go to get it "
"Wait. What ? We have real problems to worry about. Ending the war. Taking the dragon egg to Xadia, remember ? " Said Rayla.
"Xadia's to the east, right ? So is the lodge. It's on the way " Said Callum.
"Oh great. I'm sure it won't be crawling with humans. Humans that are looking for you and want to kill me and (Y/N) ! Yay ! " She answered sarcastically.
"No it's the winter lodge. It's been empty for months. Trust me" Answered Callum.
"Look...Princes are supposed to be good at things. Uh, sword fighting, leadership...riding horses. But I've always been kinds of bad at, well, everything. So when I tried that spell, I was sure I'd end up on fire or covered in spiders...but it worked. And then you two called me a mage, and that felt...right "
"I...I just have this feeling that cube thing could help me" He finished.
"I had a weird dream" Said Ezran who just woke up.
"It wasn't a dream, Ez. All of that was real" Said his brother.
"Are you sure ? There was this giant pink hippopotamus and I pulled its ears off because it was made of taffy"
"Uh...no. That...that was a dream. I thought you meant the elves, the smokes wolves, the dragon egg. That was real"
"Then I tried to thank the hippo for the taffy, but he couldn't hear me, because I was eating his ears !" Finished Ezran.
"Hey, sad prince. Let's go get your cube" Interrupted Rayla.
"Really ?" Asked Callum happily.
"Yes. Just, please, no more detors, all rights ? Or heartfelt speeches"
