"(Y/N), wake up" I heard someone say, shaking me. 'What the hell' I thought, trying to open my eyes.
"What ?" I said as I finally opened my eyes.
"Come with me, I think I heard something" Said Rayla.
I nodded and we started looking for the cause of the noises she heard. After a few minutes we found nothing but a little fawn.
"You scared me, you wee cutie" Said Rayla, petting him.
"Thanks little one. But my hand's got a problem you can't lick away" She continued as the fawn licked her hand.
The fawn suddenly ran away, scared by something that was behind us.
"What's the matter ?" Said Rayla as we turned to see what was behind us, but a man threw a net over us before we could see.
"Never trapped elves before. Easier than I thought" He said, smirking.

Ezran's POV:
"Callum ? I think we're alone" I told my brother who was still sleeping.
"Finally...Oh, I've been waiting for this moment" He mumbled.
"What is he talking about ?" I thought, raising a brow.
"Callum !" I yelled.
"What,...what ?" He said as he started finally woke up.
"Wake up ! Rayla and (Y/N) are missing"
"Oh, no, did they take it ?" He asked in hurry.
"The egg is stil right here" I said.
"Okay, good" He sighed in relief.
"You know, it's still doesn't mean we can trust them"
"But I like them Callum" I complained.
"Hey, I like them too. But the think is, they're-"
"Elves ? Who cares ? it's seems maybe everything we've heard about elves are wrong" I cut him.
"No, I was gonna say, the thing is... They're not telling us everything. I can feel it" He finished making me nod in understandment.

"Savor your victory, elves. Next time you won't be so lucky" Said the man we were fighting earlier.
"Says the man in the ditch" mocked Rayla as we leave.

"Go, go, go. We've gotta move" I told the boys as Rayla and I just get back to them.
"What's going on ? Where were you ?" Asked Callum.
"We should eat first. Look how grumpy Bait is right now" Said Ezran.
"Ugh. There's no time, we gotta move now" groaned Rayla.
"Why ? You have to at least explain" impatiently said Callum.
"Well, we were-" I started.
"We don't have to explain anything to you" Sais Rayla.
"Fine, fine" Groaned Callum, finally packing his stuff.

After a few minutes of walk we arrived to an intersection.
"Wait, this path is too easy" Interrupted Rayla.
"No, it's not. It's exactly the right amount of easy" Said Callum.
"No, it's well-warm, it's flat, it's soft, Rayla's right, sooner or later, we'll run into somebody. I don't think we should go that way" I said.
"We need to go up that way, tougher terrain is safer for us. The tougher, the better » Rayla said, pointing another way.
"Well, that sounds terrible" Said Callum.
"Exactly"
"This is already tough enough. Do you two have any idea how heavy this egg is ?" Complained Ezran.
