"What's wrong, why are you such a bump on the log?" Harriett asks as she stuffs her face with the fruit salad that I had bought myself to eat. It has been a while since I had talked to Mya I don't know I guess that she felt me distancing myself when she stated that we were friends. I don't understand because I never thought of the being more than just friends with Mya until that day.

But I know that Mya likes me, because her action speaks louder than words. And the crush that I have for her is slowly turning into me wanting to be more to her than just a friend. Everybody at Envy's baby shower thought that we were together, and she would laugh and say that we were just friends. Half the crap that we have recently gone through isn't meant for people who are just friends.

"Nothing" I said flipping through the channels not sure if what I want until I came by Animal Planet when I saw that The Most Extreme came on, it's either that or I'm watching an advertising program.

"Oh my God Tanner I don't know why you like to watch this program, it's so boring!" she cries trying to take the remote out of my hand, not going to happen.

"It's better than watching that Keeping Up with the Joneses show you like to watch, I feel my brain's cell die every time you watch it."

"It's called Keeping Up with the Kardashians," she corrects me rolling her eyes.

"Why are you here again?"

"Because you unlocked the door when I buzzed in and opened the door when I knocked," she looks at me with a confused look. "I mean I know the PIN number to get through I could have just knocked on the door unannounced."

"You do that anyways Harriett," I lean back on the couch trying to watch the show.

"Anyways what's wrong and don't tell me nothing because I know when you are down. Did that girl put you in the friend zone?"

"Mya is not a girl she is a woman and she didn't friend zone me because we were already friends."

"Uh huh sure that is why you are sulking over hear like a big baby."

"I saw Debbie a couple of days ago," I blurted out knowing that that would shut her up.

"Oh," she leans back arching one of her brow, "w-what huh h-how is she doing?" she looks down playing with her hands.

"Fine I guess," I shrug my shoulders, "she works at the frozen yogurt shop. I had to apologize to her about us because she is still hurt about that."

"I tried to apologize to her but she ended up blocking me from her phone and all of social media instead of us talking like two grown women, no she wants to act like we are back in fucking high school. I know what I did was shady but she knew that I had my eyes on you first and then she tries to swoop in and take you. But I won in the end," she flips her hair over her shoulder looking straight ahead at whatever.

"And look where we are now," I stated nonchalantly turning the TV off, I wasn't watching it anyways.

"Yeah," she shakes her head before looking at me, "so what are you doing today?"

"What I'm doing right now," I don't have to go to work until Monday but she doesn't need to know that.

"Don't be a smart ass Tanner."

"I rather be a smart ass than a dumb ass," I stated causing me to get punched in the shoulder.

"Cut it out, anyways there is this new club that has opened up tonight you should take Mya."

"Let's see a club that has just opened up, on a Saturday night. I think that I am going to pass."

"Oh come on. When we have dated you have never taken me to the club, not once."
