"Thomas told me that this is your fifth smoke break," Aunt Susan says coming out of the café. "You know that I only allow two smoke breaks a day."
God I don't have time for this shit.
"Dually noted," I was leaning against the wall on the back side of the café, I would be sitting down but I don't know what is on this ground.
"Something's wrong." No shit! "You want to talk about it?" she asks studying my face. "Is everything okay between you and Mya?"
"No, everything is fine."
"Then why are you sitting here looking like a bump on the log."
"Nothing."
"You should know by now that I have never like one word as answers, so talk."
"Why does everyone hate me?" I asks taking a long drag.
"Now where on earth is this coming from?"
"I had a talk with dad the other day and everything turned to shit."
"Watch your language."
"Yes ma'am, I just wanted to diffuse the tension between us, but it didn't go as I planned. At first it was going fine, but he just kept on defending that woman and I had gotten to the point where I am just sick of it. It was just like you have her back, she has Tiffany's back, who has mine? To make matters worse he wants me to talk to her about how I'm feeling."
"Oh Lord, talking to her is like beating a dead horse. Your mother has never liked me, for what reason I don't know, nor do I really care. I cared the first two years after Tom and I got married, when the third year came I stopped."
That's nice to know.
"Well what am I suppose to do?"
"If you want to talk to her then talk to her, if not then don't. It's all up to what you want to do. But I wouldn't waste my time doing so, that's just me," she snatches my cigarette out of my hand before tossing it to the ground and stepping on it.
The nerve.
"But you know your mother better than I do, so it's up to you. Now let's go back inside so that you can get off early."
She really does love me!
~
"Oh shit," I mutter when I see my mother's car parked in front of my apartment. "I don't have time for this shit right now."
The only good thing about Aunt Susan giving me early release is that I can rest a little bit before I have to pick up Mya so that I can meet her dad.
Yes, she finally went back to her place.
"Oh Tanner, I'm glad that I caught you," mother says as she gets out of her car and locks her door twice. "I just pulled up and was about to give you a call."
And I wouldn't have answer.
"Are you busy at the moment."
"Yes," my bed is calling my name.
"Well make time for me because we need to have a serious conversation," she walks with me to the front of my apartment and whatever perfume she is wearing is giving me a severe headache.
"No thanks, after what had happened yesterday I think that I will pass," I unlock my front door and reluctantly held the door open for her.
"that's too bad becau- oh good Lord Tanner! How long have you stayed in this hell hole and you still haven't fully unpacked?" she looks around my living room in complete disgust. Last night I went to the storage and picked up a few packs of packing boxes, I set a few up and started packing up the things that I don't need on the regular.
