The next morning, Lorenzo awoke early and cooked breakfast. He took a quick shower and dressed in a mauve top and black jeans. After applying sunscreen on his face and doing his hair, the man awoke his son. He helped Haoran brush his teeth and dressed him up in a cute koala hoodie and black pants. Lorenzo carried his baby to the dining area and sat him down on the chair.
The father and son ate breakfast and Lorenzo felt his heart melt as he heard Haoran's giggles. After breakfast, Lorenzo cleaned up the table and did the dishes while speaking to his child. Lorenzo wanted his son to speak more at an early age and express himself freely. He wanted to raise Haoran well and with unconditional love.
They still had time before going over to Rosy's place so the elder took his son to the living room. Haoran had his own playing space at the side of the living room where he kept all his toys and coloring books. The little boy played with his toys while Lorenzo decided to watch the news. He turned on the TV facing and leaned back on the couch. He was passing through channels when a headline caught his eye.
'Businesswoman Zan Yu Yan's heir has taken over all international businesses.'
Lorenzo's eyes widened and he shut the TV before they could say Yifan's name. He wasn't ready to hear anything about the man yet. The man stood up and picked up Haoran. He sat the little boy down on the couch and made him wear squeaky bunny shoes.
"Let's go see Rosy, baby." Lorenzo says and his son clapped excitedly.
"Aunty Losy!" He said cutely and Lorenzo laughed.
"Yes, Aunty Losy." He teased and his son smiled at him.
"You're so cute." The man cooed while pulling his son's chubby cheeks.
"Papa, muah!" The little boy pressed a kiss to his father's nose and Lorenzo smiled.
After grabbing his wallet and wearing a white Prada sweater over his top, the man carried his son out of the luxurious apartment. He locked his place and went inside the elevator. Haoran hugged Lorenzo tight as the doors closed. The elder had noticed that his baby didn't like elevators. He ran a hand down Haoran's back and pressed a soft kiss on his head.
"It's okay, baby. No need to be scared when Papa is here." He said softly as his son's tiny hands held his shirt.
"O-Okay." Lorenzo stepped out of the elevator and went to the parking lot.
He took out the keys to his midnight blue-colored Mercedes Benz and sat his son on the baby seat in the back. He secured his baby's belt and closed the door gently. Lorenzo entered the driver's seat and turned the windows down a little. He started the vehicle and pulled out of the parking space. The smooth vehicle entered the busy streets and the elder decided to stop by a famous bakery that Rosy liked. He drove for thirty minutes and made sure to check on Haoran from time to time. The boy's noir eyes shined as he looked out of the window.
When they reached the bakery, Lorenzo parked his vehicle and unbuckled his son. He picked up Haoran and walked inside the tall pink-colored building. This bakery was known in the city for its expensive and tasty sweets. Even Haoran was a fan of theirs. Lorenzo set his son down on his feet and held his small hand.
"Follow me." He said as they looked at the sweets through the glass.
Lorenzo was about to order when he felt a tug on his sweater. He looked down at his son with a confused face. "What's wrong, Haoran?"
"Papa, look." The little boy raised his small finger and pointed to their right. "Daddy!"
That one word made his blood run cold. The elder felt his heart race and his hands began to shake. It couldn't be. Lorenzo looked up and his eyes widened when he looked in the direction his son pointed at. The elder felt his head spin as his brown eyes met dead noir ones. The same pair of noir eyes that haunted his dreams each night. He was right there, staring back at them, with no ounce of emotion on his face.
