Mature Warning
The kiss was soft and sweet. Nothing more. Mike smiled at her as he backed up "I'll take you home now" He whispered and she nodded.
El got home thankfully no questioned from Hopper or Will. Then she went to bed. Hopefully this was a start to an old friendship being fixed.
The weekend went by and El never heard from Mike or Troy. Thank god for the Troy part. She caught up on most of her school work that Troy would never let her do. Singing and humming along to music. Will knocked on her bedroom door.
"Come in!" She yelled and he opened the door.
He smiled placing a plate of cookies on her desk.
"Mom made cookies. Though you'd want some" El smiled and nodded.
"Hey Will?" She asked softly.
"Yeah?" He asked.
"Can I get a ride to school with you tomorrow?"
"Yeah of course! Anytime" he smiled.
El smiled and nodded.

It was Monday morning. El was standing in front of the mirror. She sighed looking at herself. Light ripped jeans. A pink long sleeve shirt that covered her whole torso. And she left her hair down. She put on her glasses and grabbed her stuff.
El jumped into Wills car and.they kept a conversation up about music. When they got to school they both walked up to the party together laughing about something.
"Now isn't this a sight to see" Dustin laughed.
El rolled her eyes shaking her head.
"Aw come here! We've missed you!" Dustin yelled pulling El in for a hug and she winced.
Eventually every hugged her. Then she looked behind them at Mike awkwardly standing there.
"What? I don't get one?" He teased
El chuckled walked over to him wrapping her arms around his torso. He smiled wrapping his arms around her body gently.
"You look great" He whispered.
"I look like a nerd... It's spring and I have to go on wearing long sleeves"
"Hey... Your nerd look is one of my favorites" he laughed.
El laughed pulling away from the hug.
"Bio?" She asked and he nodded.
El and Mike walked into bio together but went thier seperate ways to thier seats. She watched at him and Angela only spoke if they had too. Mike constantly looking in her direction to make sure she was okay.

Lunch came and everything was back to normal. No Angela. And Mike was sitting beside her. He smiled feeding her a French fry from his plate. She glady accepted it. He smiled reaching over to play with her hair like she use to do with his. The party ignored thier movements not wanting to say anything and make it awkward.
"You should come over tonight..." He whispered.
"Should I?" She asked grinning up at him.
Mike hummed in response twirling a stand of her hair around his finger.
"Whys that?" She asked
"Work on our biology assignment?" He asked in a whisper
Before she could say anything he spoke again.
