Word Of Mouth (The Wanted/The Vamps)

Manchester

It's been 3 days since we chatted and we are in Max's home that is Manchester. Another Northern show which we all look forward to. Siva stayed with me in Dublin and Belfast and Max was with me on the ferry coming back. 

we're on the bus back on the M6. I'm laying in my bunk Max is at my side, it was a bit of a choppy crossing on the ferry. I felt a little bit sick my legs were like jelly. 
"Do you want to lay on the sofa?" Max asks me. I nod and he helps me to stand up. Nathan comes in.

Max's POV
"How's my baby girl today."
"She still feels quite dizzy.  I answer. "Felt quite queasy on the ferry. Does she get seasick?"
"She hasn't told me," Nathan answers. 
"I do suffer," Laura answers. "I suffered a really bad one when I was a kid. We were on a seaside trip close to where we went on Tuesday. A place called North Shields. Me and my grandparents thought it was a good idea to sit on the top deck. The water wasn't choppy nut but it was a bit bumpy. I felt a little bit sick. Kids being kids I threw up a little on the floor. I was so embarrassed. Grandad was not helping neither. I'm often shaking at the thought that something could come out with no warning." I rub her back before Nathan holds her hand. 
"Listen Laura. There's no more flights or anything like that for the remainder of this leg. When we go to America it'll just be the flight there and coming back, the rest of it we'll be on the tour bus. In Australia they'll only be short flights they'll whizz by." 
"You've been having so much fun on this tour." I add. "When we're on stage you look like you were born to perform someone who is the life and soul of the party. And just as well cos we have another Northern show tonight. Manchester for me and Tom then Nottingham for Jay."
"London was such a special night." Laura tells us. "A lot of these places I've never been to in my life. A nice way to spend my Easter break which starts soon."
"I love Easter." Nathan adds. "The weather's lovely, we eat a lot of sweets and also its my birthday on Easter Monday. I turn 21 this year how cool is that." 
"That is so cool. At least the weather's nice compared to my birth month its freezing unless you're in Australia."
"What month are you?" I ask.
"December." Laura answers.  
"We'll be in Australia at the end of November before we're back in the UK for your birthday." 



Laura's POV
I've just finished my tea in Manchester and its nearly time to get ready for the show. Luckily we have some down time. I have myself a shower and a change of clothes. When I pass the dressing room I can hear a sniffle followed by soft sobbing. I open the door slowly. There sat on the sofa was Nathan with his head in his hands. I hate seeing him when he's like this. 
"Hey what's the matter?" I place my hand on his shoulder. Nathan looks up at me with tears streaming down his face.
"Oh Laura," he sobs. "I'm so sorry. I really am."
"Hey don't say that. You've been having so much fun on this tour. I love your company and being together."
"I'm feeling homesick. I just rang my mum it was a stupid thing to do and I miss her and Jess."
"It's not stupid you're just letting them know you love them and are thinking about them. Listen its only tonight and we only have one more show after this Nottingham tomorrow. I've spoken to Jayne and we have April and the first half of May off. Just think you'll see them for your birthday and the Easter weekend.  I have confidence in you. You CAN do this. Overcoming will help you feel much more confident on further adventures like when we go to Australia. I'm really proud of you." Nathan feels much better.
"Thank you Laura." Nathan gives me a cuddle as he sobs a little. 
"Sssh you're okay. Don't cry once you're on stage later you'll soon forget your sadness. Come on its not long now." I rub his back to calm him. "You're doing so so well darling. You're doing a brilliant job looking after me. I love seeing you happy when I'm performing with you. I have a little surprise you can hold when we get on the bus later. What I do if I feel like this. I feel a lot better when I'm holding something. I feel even better when I hold you." We sit in silence cuddling each other. Max comes in. "ssh it's alright."
"What's wrong?" asks Max. "is he alright?"
"He's homesick."  I answer. "He misses his mam."
"Aww don't cry mate." Max sits next to us. "You'll see her soon. Its only tonight and tomorrow and then we're done till June, calm down its alright."
"Exactly sweetie. It'll go over so quick. You have me you have the other boys." I tell him giving him a cuddle. Max rubs his back gently. 
"Think of it like a brother's love." Max tells him. "We grew up together, were there through thick and thin. You have 4 caring protective older brothers who will be there for you a shoulder to cry on if you need to. A beautiful girl who is a joy to be around as well as someone who looks out for you. You're the best boyfriend anyone could ask for. Laura is so lucky to have a patient kind hearted soul who looks out for her and is there to protect when she's at her most vulnerable." Nathan holds me securely in his arms.
"I don't ever want to let you go." he tells me. "I want to keep you safe and hold you forever." I pat Nathan's back.
"You make such a sweet couple." Max tells us. "In a matter of weeks I have seen such a beautiful bond between two tweens. Everybody here is so happy for you both. You have gotten her out of a horrible situation and brought her confidence back and she feels so comfortable being around us. We love seeing her out there on that stage having a amazing time with us. She's lovely with our fans. Such a brave young woman on the flight to Dublin. Siva told me how he really enjoyed seeing Newcastle on our day off. I love shows up north. Tonight is a special one for me and Tom. Why don't we get sorted before we need to head on stage." Nathan nods taking a hold of my hand. He gives me a hug before he gets changed. When he comes out he looks gorgeous. 
"You look beautiful." I tell him.
"So do you." He leans in for a kiss. "I'm really proud of you Laura. You've brought such a joy to this part of the tour. I can't to see what it'll bring to America and Australia. I have really enjoyed seeing the UK with no other than a girl like you." We share a hug and then we position behind the backdrop.
