She is a slow toxin. She will gradually creep into your soul to taint it black.

Jimin pov

I stood upon the bricked bridge that floated above a captivating pond. The water calmly roomed in the pink lotuses as schools of fishes squirmed along their way below the large leaves.

I rested my hands on the railings. Everything was serene... except for my storming mind. Governing a kingdom is a tedious job. My subjects are so far happy under my rule, except for my shattered family.

I was welcomed by my worthy Advisor, Kim Namjoon, who stood by my side. Namjoon had his way with his skills, be it anything. An exemplary pal who vowed his devotion to me

"Your Highness... what do you think about the Queen?" he asked.

I looked at him blankly. "I don't know Joon... she is-'' I quickly cut the conversation upon seeing her making her way towards us with her maids.

Namjoon toughened when he saw her. "Greetings Your Highness," he bowed.

She bowed to me and him and smiled, genuine or not, it didn't matter. We haven't spoken to one another yet. It was the first time I noticed her presence. It was awkward as I was the one who deliberately omitted her, so I excused myself to meet Yoongi, my trusted Investigator.

"How is your day?" I heard her soft voice, fading away. I should have waited for a few more minutes to listen to her, I thought.

Myrah Pov

Namjoon, I have heard about him and his espionage, and meeting him in person taught me two things. One is that this man is insanely good-looking, his dimples complimenting whenever he smiles. The second thing is that I should watch out for him, his sharp eyes felt almost skimming into me.

I need him by my side, I thought, recalling the short talk with him earlier.

Strolling along the corridors, my legs wandered like my mind. As I turned around the corner, I was crushed in one's arms. It was my caretaker, my dear Rima.

Rima grew up with me like a companion, she has been with me throughout my highs and lows and knows me better than anyone. Rima held my hands and looked at me with her pretty little face.

"Myrah... I mean, Your Highness, kindly forgive me if I have traversed the lines," she exclaimed as she bowed.

"Rima! I missed you and you can, you can call me Myrah!" I told her.

"I missed you much, after all that-" I cut her off by assuring her that It was okay.

"You have transformed... for the better. You are very strong Myrah, I am so proud of you and I can never be like you," she let out a loud cry and sobbed.

"Hmm, come," I called her, who came to hug me again when I didn't ask to, rather I moved towards the door.

"To where?" she asked as she rubbed her wet eyes.

"To pick some pebbles to throw into the pond."

Her lips parted as she respired upon me, her eyes closed, pulling me towards...

"Hyung!!" I heard her say, Hyung!? Was I about to kiss an underaged woman? No! Is it a man? I thought. Terrified, hearing someone call me brother!

"Hyung!! Wake up!" I heard again which knocked me off from my dreams. I lifted my body that spread upon the hard bark of a tree and gazed up. The sun was on the horizon, about to set.

The streets were still swarmed with vendors and commoners who passed by me. The lane was for the commoners, no nobles visited the place, so I was unrestricted to sleep wherever I wanted, and I stupidly chose the tree that was in the middle of the street to nap. If I only knew what was coming.

Again, what was it? It's my first time dreaming of an attractive woman! I am a compliant citizen of this nation! How can I dream like this? Oh my god!

I was still observed in the trauma when a hand was placed on my thigh. "Hoba Hyungiee," the voice whined as I looked at him, my little brother, who stood along with his other teenage mates.

"What happened?" I asked worriedly, his small lips sulked as he looked down,

"I am bored, can you play with us? Please?" he asked.

"Uh...but," I was reminded again of the dream, and it was dreadful, nodding my head I said, "Okay..."

The teenagers were elated, they screamed in joy as they followed me.

"Can you knock out that lantern?" one asked as he showed me a glowing lamp that hung in front of a shop,

"I can, but we can't go around destroying others' properties," I tried to explain but they wouldn't listen.

"You can do it!" a boy cheered as he lifted his hands into a fist and raised it high, followed by him the whole group cheered and tried to persuade me.

"Hoba! Hoba! Hoba! Hoba!" They chanted my name loudly as I attempted every ounce of a possible way to scatter them away from this place.

The people on the street looked at me weirdly as I stood there unable to do any "proper" deed.

The kids will be the death of me, I thought. Naturally, I have a good and sweet personality and am also a very faint-hearted person. Mischievousness was something I would never dare to do.

"Alright... Alright, let's end this quick," I told myself as I inhaled a deep breath and bent down, and took a small rock.

I closed one eye and extended my arm in front, and threw it at the lantern.

"Aargh!" I last heard someone lament as a group of soldiers sprinted toward me.
