𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐍𝐄𝐗𝐓 𝐖𝐄𝐄𝐊, sunoo would see niki at random times of the day around random parts of the campus. too many times to be a mistake, sunoo thought. and he was right. niki was filled to the brim with so much guilt and longing that he would wait near sunoo's classes and watch him walk out when finished. after all, sunoo's schedule could roll off his tongue like his own mother's name.
sunoo caught onto niki's intentions a bit too early for his liking, as the younger would have liked to continue his secret watchings of his ex-best friend and crush. he knew it sounded absurd, to follow a guy around when you were the cause of his crying every night. but for the first time in his life, niki was scared. he knew that sunoo wanted nothing to do with him, so watching him for a few minutes every day became his obsession.
unhealthy as it was, everyone has different coping methods. stalking just happened to be niki's comfort. although to sunoo, it was far from comfortable.
on one particularly cold morning in june, sunoo seemed to have woken up on the wrong side of his bed and snapped at everyone he saw. he had woken up late, with only ten minutes until his astronomy class began. his hair was tangled when he woke up, and he brushed a bit too hard, resulting in his only comb snapping right down the middle. sunoo had cursed angrily and just binned both pieces.
next, sunoo forgot his phone. it had fell off the side of the bed, and he completely forgot about it. just as the day couldn't get any worse, the knowledge of his professor locking the door 10 minutes after the designated arrival time slipped his mind. so now what stood in front of him, while he was panting and out of breath with his hands on his knees, bag slipping off his shoulder, and hair so disheveled, was a locked door.
