Layla whimpered again at the pain. Trying to look down but Ali stopped her.

"Hey, don't move. I need to get the first-aid pack." Ali instructed as Layla nodded.

Ali quickly searched around the kitchen as he finally saw the first aid pack.

"There we go!" Ali said as he rushed over to Layla who's eyes were very slowly closing.

"Hey, Love, stay with me!" Ali said as he started wrapping her stomach up.

Layla hissed in pain, "So that is what it feels like? It's not nice."

Ali chuckled, "Love, you've had 3 boys."

"Nothing beats this pain though." Layla strained.

Ali kept making sure she was awake as he finished wrapping her stomach, "Ok, Love, I need to get you on our bed. I'll contact the guild and have them send someone over to heal you."

Layla nodded, "Okay, is this gonna hurt?"

Ali nodded sadly, "Yeah, I have to pick you up." Ali explained as he placed one hand under her knees and one hand under her middle back. "Are you ready?" He asked as he felt her move one arm around his neck.

"Yeah" Layla breathed out.

"Okay, 3, 2, 1." Ali said as he heaved her off the floor. Layla yelled in pain before calming back down, feeling tears come out her eyes.

"Okay." Ali said as he quickly rushed over to their bedroom. Settling Layla on the bed and pulling the blanket just under her stomach. "I'll keep coming in to check on you but make sure to stay still."

Layla nodded with a tired smile, "How's Nino? Are his bones getting better?"

Ali nodded, "Like you said, his left arm is completely healed. The rest of his bones are definitely not." He informed.

"Okay, give him a few more weeks before we take the rest of the casts off." She yawned.

Ali smiled as her eyes drifted off and her eyelids closed with her steady breathing.

"See you later, Love." Ali said as he kissed her cheek and left the room.

Ali sighed as he quickly went back up the stairs and into the bathroom.

Nino was in his Wheelchair and fully clothed.

"How?! How?!" He kept asking as he stared at Nino.

"The ghosts." Nino chuckled.

"Right, I forgot that your new friends are ghosts." Ali groaned as he wheeled Nino back into his bedroom.

Laying Nino down on his bed, he re-placed all the pillows to help support his broken limbs.

Nino stared at Ali for a while.

 "Um you alright?"

"The blood..."

"Oh sorry! I forgot to change this top."

"Who's blood?"

Ali sighed "Mum's"

Nino looked very worried. "Mama's!?"

"Nothing to worry about! I can still contact the guild and get her proper medical help." Ali reassured.

Nino nodded tiredly, "And Nickie?"

Ali smiled softly, "He's spending the weekend with Kat."

"Ok" Nino yawned as his eyes slowly closed.

Ali smiled as he turned the lights off and left the room.

Nino peaked his eyes open as he silently got out of bed and showed his palm to the floor.

After a minute a young girl formed in an astral form.

"Nino? You summoned me?" Amelia asked.

"Yeah did you see my mum get hurt?" He asked.

"No sorry, why is Layla hurt?" Amelia asked, sounding worried. She and Layla have gotten off to a really good start and their new friendship getting stronger even though Layla can't see or hear her without Nino's help.

"Yeah, Papa didn't tell me who though." Nino replied.

"Is there anyone after you?" Amelia asked again.

"Actually this morning I had a dream about Morrigan." Nino said.

Amelia's eyebrows rise, "Really?! That could be a new power!"

Nino looked confused, "I can already communicate with ghosts and sense when someone is dying! How many more abilities will I get?"

Amelia sighed, "When Morrigan possessed you 3 weeks ago, you developed some of Morrigan's powers. The powers inside you are manifesting into something more powerful now though." She explained.

The door opened and revealed Ali.

"Bye." Amelia said and Nino waved bye back as she vanished.

"You had another power and didn't tell me? How are you standing up? The ghosts didn't help you get out of that bath, Did they?" Ali asked, sounding sad.

Nino took a deep breath, as he sat back down and removed all the casts. "I developed my second power a week after the fight. As for my bones, they healed faster than what I thought they would, I didn't know how to tell you. No, the ghosts didn't help me, I just climbed out after getting my temperature down."

Ali nodded, "I guess I feel hurt that you didn't tell me but anyways, The guild is gonna send someone over by 6 in the evening. So they can heal Layla." he said as he sat down next to Nino.

"That girl, she said something about your powers manifesting?"

Nino nodded, "She thinks the dream of Morrigan might be a new power as well." He took a deep breath, "I didn't know how to tell you about my powers. I thought you'd freak out again."

Ali sighed and allowed Nino to rest his head against his collarbones, "You know that I freak out about anything. I admit I would've preferred if you told me but if it's something personal then I can't pry too much."

"Thanks, I was just worried if you would ask me questions on how my bones healed faster" Nino chuckled, weakly.

"I am definitely curious about that but I can't force you either." Ali sighed, "How long have the bones been healed?"

"About 3 days now." Nino answered.

"Ok, I'll inform Layla that the bones are better but to not ask you why. Is that okay?"

"Yeah, thanks."

"No problem." Ali smiled as he kissed Nino's forehead.

"Papa" Nino groaned out.

Ali simply laughed as he left the bedroom again.

As he closed Nino's door, he suddenly found himself feeling scared again. 'I hope it doesn't go back to the way it was, 9 months ago.' he thought worriedly.

Nino sighed as he laid down in bed again, grabbing a book from under his bed. Turning to page 201, 'Death interaction - seeing and hearing a ghost between the world of living and afterlife. (May any human who has this gift be blessed with many powers of self-defence. For the dead are not silent or peaceful.)' he read aloud but quietly as well.

Sighing, he once again brought Amelia back to his plane and his bedroom. "Amelia, death interaction." He said and nothing more had to be said.

Amelia's scared and worried face was enough to know that this is bad.

Nino sighed, "How bad?"

"Like war is coming bad." Amelia said, fear in her eyes.
