"Information regarding the Prime minister..." I close my eyes. Why would he need that? Does he not know how dangerous it is to have information on such an individual?...Do I have information regarding him? Yes...although it's very well hidden. "Man has really fucked over many people." I sigh as I look up. This bench felt comfortable, and there was just about enough shade. It was a nice place to take a break.
I look down at my wrist before noticing that my shift was about to start. I've been here for half an hour, but it felt like it was a lot less...maybe because I was thinking about what Seven had asked. Soon I heard foot steps making me immediately stand up. It was a...woman although she wore no robe, but instead a black dress with a mask. Something was off about her. Something was very prominent about her...her long wavy hair. She must be...I quickly move back before being noticed.
"How has everything been going? Are the preparations going as planned?" I hide as I hear her voice. It was a very intimidating one. This was my first time hearing it.
"Yes, the plan is going well my Savior."...that was Ray's voice. I slightly peer. They were both speaking amongst each other on what sounded like inside information.
"That's good...does that mean we can set the plan in motion yet?"
"There are still some loose ends I still need to tie up..." Ray's voice sounded timid.
"Ray are you putting it off?"
"N-No! Of course not..."
"Is your mind on something else then? Is that why you're taking long?"
"No, there's no excuse. I should be doing better...I'll make sure the RFA will make it to paradise, and I'll make sure the one who hurt you and the red head pay for what they've done." 'Red head?' I slightly move my hand before feeling a sharp pain. My hand jerks hitting a bush. 'Shit!'
"What was that?" I could hear her voice.
I could hear foot steps come closer, "is someone there?...huh?" I heard chirping. "It's...a baby bird, but where did it come from?"
"It is a nestling." I could hear her voice as she got closer. I could hear the bush move. He must've picked it up. "There seems to be a nest built up there." I look up seeing. The spot that casted a shade on the bench had a nest.
"Should I put back then?" I could hear him lift himself up. "It seems like it's in distress."
"Don't."
"What?"
"It was probably pushed out by it's sibling. It was too weak to fight back, and ended up here in the shadow. If you put it back it'll simply be pushed off again."
"You really think so? That just doesn't seem fair..." I could hear a sigh from her.
"I'll be seeing you later. Do as you wish with that bird, but remember what I told you." I could hear her foot steps walk away. What's wrong with that woman?
I could hear footsteps come close before coming to a stop. I could hear him pick the nestling up as it chirped before sitting down. He didn't speak a word...it was silent. Something told me that I should go to him, and see if he's alright, but why? I peer over. He had his head down staring at the nesting. I take a deep breath in before slowly getting up.
"Ray?" He quickly turns his head seeming surprised to see me. His eyes were watery, and a tear ran down his cheek.
"N-Nari?!" He looks away before bringing his arm up, and wiping his tears away with his sleeve. He turns back looking flustered, "how long have you been there?" He couldn't quite hide the fact that he was crying. His pale complexion especially made it hard. Although seeing him like this made him look a lot more vulnerable which made me feel off.
