I woke up the next morning , my head pounding from the alcohol I drank from last night. Matt walked in and helped me sit up and gave me some Advil and a glass of water.
"What did I do last night, anything sstupid? I can remember some things though......" I drifted off, smiling, as I played with the ring on my finger.
"We made out A͟ L͟O͟T͟, but I wouldn't let it go too far," he said making me blush and look down.
"Not in front of Fox, right?" I had to make sure.
"No"
"I feel stupid now," I said shaking my head.
"Don't be, you begging for my pants off was cute."
"Wow thanks that makes me feel so much better now," I said sarcastically making Matt laugh silently
"How about we go down stairs I have something to tell you ," he said his face suddenly dropping
I followed him down the stairs and we went to the porch out back. he sat me down on the swing taking both of my hands in his.
"Matt what's wrong?" I asked stressing.
"I'm gonna be gone for a little while"
"How long?"
"6 months"
"Why"
"2 years ago I got in a really bad fight and I went to court and they said either 6 months of army training or 6 months of prison and I chose the army," he explained
"You'll come back, right?"
"Yes"
"You promise?" I said starting to tear up.
"I promise"
"I don't want you to go."
Be picked me up carrying me in the house to the couch. he set me down so my head was on his lap so I could see him finally answering,
"I know"
