Sweetheart........ An Eddie Munson story

Introduction

After the birth of her beautiful baby girl, Kali seemed to be doing amazing, she was back to her usual self and because she was still on maternity leave from work, she spent a lot of her time writing music, as well as caring for Juliet, who was beginning to look more and more like her father with each passing day.

Billy's dad had left a couple of days before the funeral, meaning that Susan and Max had to give up their house and move into the trailer park. They moved into the trailer opposite Kali and Max spent a lot of her time having sleepovers and helping to look after her niece, that was until she started having nightmares. Susan was working two jobs and spent most of her free time over at Wayne's, she absolutely adored Juliet and she had bonded with Wayne over their love of their grandchild. Wayne may not have been Kali's real dad, but let's face it, he was a better father figure then hers ever was and Kali couldn't think of a better grandfather for her daughter. Wayne and Susan had been getting even closer since Christmas, and it looked as though love was in the air for this unlikely pair.

Kali grew more worried when Max started to distance herself, something wasn't right with her favourite red head but whenever Kali would try to get her to open up, Max would throw up her walls and shut down. She had started seeing the school counsellor but was reluctant to open up to her, if she didn't want to speak to her friends then why would she speak to a complete stranger.

Eddie was doing really well, he was determined to graduate from school this year, stating that 86 was going to be his year. Kali had been helping him with his homework everyday and helping him study for any tests he had. The two had grown a lot closer since Billy's funeral, Eddie's feelings for Kali had only grown stronger but he could never bring himself to admit that he was in love with her, for fear of her rejecting him. However, what he didn't know was that Kali had fallen for him too.

Kali didn't think it was possible to love after Billy but here she was falling head over heals for her favourite metal head. Everything about him made her happy, and there was no doubt in her mind that she wanted to be his but after the nightmares started, the love she felt was quickly replaced by guilt. Billy himself had said that he wanted her to be happy so why was it, in every nightmare she had, Billy told her that she never truly loved him and that she didn't even want to save him. Of course she wanted to save him, she wanted more then anything for him to be beside her. After the nightmares started, Kali withdrew herself, she stopped going out with her friends, she stopped playing at the hideout and kept asking Wayne or Susan to look after Juliet while she stayed in her room, curled up in bed with Billy's jacket wrapped around her, sobbing until she fell asleep.

Maybe Billy was right.
