Eddie's POV:Anger coursed through my veins when I heard a knock at the front door. Here I was inches away from feeling her soft lips against mine once again, a feeling I craved, only to be interrupted.
As soon as I opened the door and saw the doe-eyed cheerleader staring back at me with tears in her eyes, my anger disappeared and was replaced with confusion at first and then sympathy.
Chrissy had approached me a couple of days ago at my table in the woods. She seemed nervous and on edge at first but soon settled down when she realised I wasn't as mean and scary as everyone made me out to be. She opened up to me about the nightmares she had been having and I offered her some weed, at a discounted price to help ease her.
In all honesty, Chrissy was a sweet girl. Too bad her boyfriend was a complete asshole but you can't help who you fall in love with, right?
I had given her a decent amount of weed, enough to last her at least a week so there's no way she could've ran out in just a couple of days, so I couldn't help the confusion on my face as I looked at her, stood on the front steps of my trailer with her cheer jacket pulled tight to her chest to shield her from the cold night air.
"Hey Eddie, I-I'm sorry to just drop by like this but.. it's just.. I was wondering" she rambled on nervously, her gaze fixed to the floor as she shuffled her feet. I knew she wanted more and it was kind of adorable to see the bright, confident girl kind of nervous but she couldn't have picked a worse time to drop by.
I turned my head slightly to see that Kali was no longer in the front room and I felt my heart drop. I can't imagine what's running through her mind right now.
Not everyday you see the head cheerleader conversing with the town freak.
I let out a sigh as I moved to the side, motioning for Chrissy to come inside. She made her way over to the coach while I began rummaging through the kitchen draws, "so do you want the same again?" I questioned, lifting my head slightly to see that she was still stood holding her jacket close to her chest, her gaze shifting from me to the ground once more "actually, I was wondering, do you have anything... stronger?".
Did.. Did Chrissy Cunningham just ask me for something stronger then weed? The Chrissy Cunningham? To say I was shocked was definitely an understatement.
"Uh, yeah, sure" I mumbled as I stared at her in disbelief. Her gaze finally reached mine and I could see the pain in her eyes. Fuck, she really needed some help. I knew I had a little something left over from the last time I dealt hard drugs, I was kind of saving it for myself but Chrissy looks like she needs it more then I do.
"I've got some special K lying around here somewhere" I spoke softly as I tried to remember where I had last seen it. I'm sure I left it in a locked box in my room, I just needed to find the key which I think I left-
"How long does it take to kick in?" Chrissy's soft voice broke through my thoughts "sorry?" I questioned as I looked over at her. She seemed to have relaxed a little but I couldn't help the gut feeling I had, something was off.
Little did I know, it was something more terrifying then I could have ever imagined.
"Oh, uh, well it depends if you snort it or not" I let out a small smile as I continued looking for the key "uh, if you do, then, uh, yeah. It'll, uh, kick in pretty quick" I couldn't help the small chuckle that escaped my mouth as I thought back to the many memories I have of people snorting this shit.
I opened the tin where I thought I had left the key, only to find it wasn't there "oh, shit".
"You're sure you have it?"
