Jacob day; A new friendship

New friendship

We went into the store, I got a drink and we left.
I brought Jacob to my house, I went inside to grab my keys.
Y "I'm gonna be out for a bit" I yelled out.
"Is that a boy outside!" My stepfather yelled back.
Y "ew no, we just met"
I left.

J "what do you drive?"
Y "you'll see"
We turned the corner,
J "sweet you drive a (car of your choice) "

We got in.
J "Your car is really nice"
I thanked him and we started driving.
J "so if you're driving, you have to be at least 17"
Y "I'm 18, what about you?"
He said 19,
Y "do you have any siblings?"
J "yeah I have an older brother, Apollo"
Y "nice, I have a younger sister, and my two stepsister"
J "so where are we going?"
Y "I can't say, or it'll ruin the surprise"
He rolled his eyes.

After a few minutes, I rolled up to a tiny trail that was on the side of the road.
Y "come on let's go!"

We both got out and followed the trail, which lead to a bench right next to a big fir tree.
We sat down on the bench, overlooking the city.
J "what is this place?"
Y " it's kinda like my hideout"
J "why would you need a hide out?"
I looked at the ground,
Y" my parents split up, so I like to come up here when everything's too overwhelming"
J "oh I'm sorry, my parents always fight too"
I looked at him,
Y "really?"
J "yes ma'am"

When he said "ma'am" I thought that was pretty cute.
He put his hand on my shoulder,
J "yeah it's pretty annoying when you have to keep everything to yourself"
I thought it was strange, but I related to that sentence.
J " y/n, I've only know you for a little longer than an hour, but you're really cool"

I felt pretty tired, I yawned and wiped my eyes.
J "if you're that tired, I can drive you home?"
I stood up,
Y "nope, you're not driving my car"
He laughed, and we started walking to my car.

I noticed a weird spot in my car, so I crouched down and wiped it With my shirt.

We got to his house and before he got out he looked at me,
J "you know, this is one of the best days I've had in a while"
I smiled, "let's do it again"
J "tomorrow?"
I agreed and we exchanged numbers.
When he was walking away I yelled out " I'll see you later"
And I soon left.
