POV: Mammon

I turned around and sighed softly. No one followed me...I leaned against on of the many trees around me holding my chest. It hurt to breathe a bit as I took a deep breath in. I clocked Lucifer really good for being a human...maybe there's a little bit of strength of demon left in me. I slid down the tree to the ground and buried my face in my arms, knees up to my chest. I tried to calm myself down rubbing the dried tear stains off my face. I heard my D.D.D go off. I just let it ring and go to voicemail. My head hurt...I'm sick of this shit...I know I have Em but I'll be damned if I use her as a crutch for my damn problems.

My D.D.D went off again. This time a text message. I pulled out my phone and glanced at the notification. It was 2 from Em and 2 from Lucifer, even one from Satan. I sighed and ran a shaken hand through my hair. Why would Em want to be with me now...all I cause is trouble...that all I'm good at...my heart squeezed and I whimpered. Fuck...why am I like this...pathetic...I unlocked my phone and read the texts...

SATAN: Mammon, where are you?

LUCIFER: Listen, come home okay, we can discuss it more....
LUCIFER: I'm sorry please come home....

EM: Sweetheart...where are you?..Please come home we miss you...
EM: I'm here for you...so is Aiden...we love you so much don't forget that.. <3

I let out a choked sob and threw my phone in the grass. "Mammon? Are you okay?" I heard a squeaky voice ask. I jumped looking up to see Luke in front of me. I blinked up at him, tears pouring down my face. "Luke..Sorry just..." I began but he plopped right down next to me. "I heard what happened...from Em" he glanced over at me. I just sighed and rested my head on my arms. "I..I don't know anymore lil' man...it feels like I'm being pulled apart at the seams..." He just placed his hand on my arm. "Are you scared about being a Dad?" He asked and I nodded hiding my face again. "I think you will be perfect for Aiden...the way you adore Em and how you did everything in your power to protect her...the stuff you do for your family...I know you are a good person Mammon, I know I'm stubborn on my opinions but you changed mine..." he smiled at me and I just peeked up at him.

"Ya mean that kid?" I murmured. He nodded and leaned into me. "You don't need Lucifer or your brothers running your life...I admire the strength you have dealing with the crap they give you..." he hummed softly before getting up. "Now get back to them, she's really worried..." he pointed at me before waving goodbye. I sighed pulling myself up and picking my phone up from the ground. I sent a quick text to Em.

ME: I'm otw home...ran into Luke...
EM: Okay...and really? Weird he's out this late...
ME: I'm hungry....
EM: We'll make ya some Ramen when you get back okay?
ME: Okay...

I shoved my hands in my pockets as I made my way back to the house. I opened the front door and spotted Em on one of the steps on the stairway. "Mams" she smiled and got up to pull me into a tight hug. I hugged her back shoving my face into the crook of her neck, inhaling her scent. It was so calming to me for some reason. She rubbed my back and hummed. "Let's getchya fed okay?" I felt her take my hand and we went into the kitchen. Beel was in there munching on some popcorn. "Beel can we use the kitchen please?" She placed a hand on her belly bump. He nodded mouth full before glancing at me, his eyes read shame...before leaving the kitchen.

Em pulled out the instant ramen cup from her hidden stash she kept for me and began to make it as I sat at the table. She came over with it and some chopsticks. "Here love..." she handed it to me and I took it gently. "Thank you..." I began to eat and she leaned over the table. "Are you okay?...I know you heard everything earlier..." she held her head in her hand and glanced at me. "I don't know...I really don't Em..." I admitted and ate some more. She hummed sadly and reached over brushing my bangs aside. "You know how much I love you right Mammon...? I would never chose anyone else but you...same goes for Aiden..." she said in a serious tone. I nodded finishing up my food. "I love you too...so much it hurts sometimes..." I whispered and looked down.

"Cmon, lets go get some rest...You really got Lucifer good...I was actually proud of you" She chuckled a bit throwing away the finished cup in the trash as I got up to take her hand. We made our way to our room. Satan poked his head out and Em stopped. "Thank Diavolo you came home Mammon..." he let out a relieved sigh. I hummed back in response and squeezed Em's hand. "We are gonna go to bed...G'night Satan" Em smiled tiredly. "Goodnight you two.." he yawned before closing his door. We got to our room and Em flopped a bit onto the bed. I followed and stripped my clothes. I felt her eyes on me and I flushed.

"W-What are ya starin at?" I muttered shyly. "My soon to be husband obviously" she giggled and got comfy under the blankets. I rolled my eyes sliding in next to her, cuddling up to her being the big spoon. She curled into me best she could and yawned big. I placed a kiss on her temple being pulled into sleep.
