Ajabdeh woke up with a tired feeling yawning and saw the time. 9 AM. Ohh Shit! Was that a dream? Or did it really happen? A thought crossed her mind. A knock grabbed her attention.
" Come in." She said sleepily.
" Ajabdeh, wake up, I have been calling you since yesterday, where are you?" It was Bhago.
" I... was... busy!" She fumbled.
" Doing what? Telling Ranisa you want to get married and end up with a proposal from Kunwarsa?" She asked amused. Ajabdeh briefly stared wide-eyed at her friend. Ohh crap! Not a dream!
" Wha... how you..." She opened her mouth.
" Hansa Mausi said Ranisa asked for your hand and... " Ajabdeh turned red.
" Tum kyun ayi subah subah?" She changed the topic as she got out of bed.
" Ajabdeh, I have been trying to tell you this since yesterday! We are going to Lakshadweep today, for our honeymoon." Bhago blushed.
" Wow! Lakshadweep! '' Ajabdeh jumped up in bed. " Wonderful place I heard, suno, important baat!"
" Kya?" Bhago frowned as she came closer and whispered.
" Agar tsunami aye, video banake send me on whatsapp!"
" Ajabdeh!" She exclaimed.
" Kya??" She asked. "Marne se pehle bata dena at least so that pata chale."
" Go and get ready, we will leave in an hour." Bhago snapped.
" Ohh haan, I will see you at the airport!" She got out of bed.
" Kunwar Sa bhi chal rahe hai." Bhago smiled. Ajabdeh got back in her bed.
" Mujhe nahi jana Mujhe bohot kaam hai! Bye Bhago." Bhago giggled as she hugged Ajabdeh.
" Ek baat batao, Ranisa tumhe chunhe isme koi surprise wali baat nahi, we all expected that, par kya Kunwarsa se baat hui tumhari?" Bhago raised her eyebrows.
" ... aaa....mmmm... nahi.... usse kaha...." Her phone rang Meri maa ka phone uski maa ka...
" Uff change this ringtone!" Bhago shook her head.
" Good morning Ranima." Ajabdeh watched Bhago leave with a wink.
" Kya? Abhi? Nahi nahi... haan aa rahi hoon." She nodded.
Ajabdeh was standing in front of a wardrobe full of colours.
" Kya pehnu?" She asked with a sigh. In 10 mins her whole room was full of clothes.
" I need new clothes, in lighter shades..." Her eyes widened at her own words. "Ohho! Ajabdeh! What's wrong with you? OH God! It feels so awkward, nazrein kaise milaungi with...aree mil gaya!" She took out a light orange Kurti with black embroidery. Teamed with black skinny fit jeans. She put a small black Bindi on her forehead. She braided her hair in a semi-messy look and wore a jhumka and some bangles in one hand.
" Wah! Ajabdeh you look good!" She praised herself.
She walked out of home and took her cycle to the Mahel. Parking it in the garden she told the gardener, " Kaka, yaha rakh rahi hoon, koi pooche to bolna meri hai."
"Ji Baisa."
She was lost in thoughts, walking towards the entrance when Pratap walked out, in a sky blue suit, and looked up to see her walk towards him absentminded. She stared right at him as he smiled, then looked away as if she didn't see. His brows narrowed as she walked past him.
