" Ohho Yeh kya kar diya isne!" Pratap exclaimed, worried. " Main jaake khol deta hoon, before they murder each other."
" Ruko!" Ajabdeh stopped him. " Let it be."
" Kya?" He asked surprised.
" Let them be."
" But..."
" Agar itne saalon mein hum ne ek dusre ka murder nahi kiya, woh bhi nahi karenge." She smiled.
" Ohho Amar ke samne nahi..." he murmured.
" Chaliye na Ranima jaake sunte hai." Amar cut in excited. " Haan chalo!" Ajab was equally excited.
" Aree! Nahi." Pratap tried to stop the duo.
" Tum bhi Chalo!" Ajabdeh dragged a reluctant Pratap by his hand as Amar ran ahead. " But..."
" Hushh." He watched his wife and son sit on the floor and place their ears on the door. He looked around the corridor to see if anyone was watching this embarrassing situation.
" Amar! Amar!" was a cry in vain in unison as they now sat down, he on the bean bag and she back to her spot. There was an awkward silence for like five minutes that seemed like an hour for Shakti, the silence was killing him.
" umm... kaisi ho?" The question was a rather awkward and late one to ask for someone who was there 12 hours back.
" Main thik hoon. Yeh door ..." She thought he was asking about now.
" Amar keh raha tha.... ki tum ab Udaipur mein rehti ho..."
" Usne khud aisa kaha?" She was a little embarrassed at her question knowing very well that he might have asked Amar. " I study there."
" Toh yaha aati rehti ho?"
" Bua ke paas."
" Aur village pond pe bhi jaate ho..." Her heart skipped a beat as her face looked a little pale. She gulped. " Kyun?"
There was no response from Heer as she looked away. " Kyun jaati ho?" He repeated.
" Woh. " She fumbled.
" Kyun?" He repeated, determined to know, from the girl who claimed to be making memories.
" Main pooja karne jaati hoon."
" Kiske liye," Shakti asked, narrowing his eyes. " Amar."
" Aur?"
" Jija." She looked away. " Accha? Aur?"
" Tumse Matlab?" She was rather irritated at the interrogation. He had no right to ask her and demand answers.
" Mujhe kya you are so ungrateful, I saved you from Brownie, thanks bhi nahi bola."
" Thank you Kunwar Sa, for saving my life " There was a hint of taunt in her voice.
" You REALLY saved me."
" You didn't let me save you!" His voice made her look up as he stared right at her. There was a silence in the room, as they stared away.
" Kuch sunai nahi de raha ab!" Amar frowned as Ajab patted him, " Hush!"
Pratap looked at the duo and couldn't help smiling. Ajabdeh Punwar had the same eager and excited face as their three-year-old son. He had loved her antics and how she surprised him time and again. He sat down on the floor facing her. "Ajab. ''Hush!" She was frowning.
" Agar tumko lagta hai. ke 5 saal baad, suddenly you will land up and save me and I will forgive you. How can you even expect that!" She broke the silence with her voice as he narrowed his eyes,
