"N/n!" You blinked, turning around to look at Tanjiro.

"Hi, Tanj." You greeted, smiling brightly at him. "What are you doing here? Aren't you gonna spend the day with your family?"

He smiled back, and you noticed he seemed excited.

"I want you to spend the day with us!"

"Uhh... alright." You nodded, but placed your hands on your hips. "Why now, though? We've already been together for 2 thanksgivings."

"Because I just wanna spend this one with you."
He whined, dropping to his knees and fisting your haori. "Please?"

"I didn't say no, sweetie." You giggled, running your hands through his hair.

He perked up, smiling brightly.

"Thank you!"

"But next year, we're going with my family."

"No problem, darling."

You sighed, having just woke up from your nap.

Senjuro was jumping on your bed, chanting your name.

"What?" You muttered, sitting up and looking at him.

"It's turkey day!" He exclaimed.

"Turkey day?" Your eyebrows furrowed in confusion. "What's turkey day..?"

"What's turkey day?!" Senjuro paused, eyes blown wide. "Well... to be fair, your mom was... eh- anyways, turkey day is a day where you eat a biiiig feast and spend time with family!"

"I don't wanna spend time with her."

"No, not your mom, our mom! And our dad, and our brother. You know?"

"So your family?"

"They're ou-"

"I haven't been officially adopted yet, I'm just a foster kid."

"Still!"

"Okay. But can I invite Zenitsu?"

"Sure!"

You smiled, and it went quiet. You stared at each other.

"..get out."

"Yeah, I- ima go." Senjuro hurriedly left, awkward, uncoordinated footsteps retreating into the hallway.

You threw your legs over the bed, yawning as you reached for your phone to text Zenitsu.
