This is the first chapter from Jace's POV! I will try to do them every so often. Enjoy!!

Jace's POV:
I was probably smiling like an idiot when I walked back to my room, but I didn't care.
"There you are!" I said to Cole. "Man of the hour. going to bed already?"
"Long day." Cole said.
"Busy night, too." I teased. I knew I shouldn't but I couldn't help myself.
"What do you mean?" Cole asked, looking confused.
"I saw you hanging out with Mira on the porch. Starry night, Shiver moon, pretty romantic." I said.
"Stop it," Cole said. "I just wanted some fresh air. She came out to warn me it could be dangerous."
I nodded knowingly. "Right. You're good."
"Wait a minute." Cole said. "How did you even know we were out there?"
"I went looking for you, Kendal was too. We saw you guys on the porch." I said defensively.
"But I got back like twenty minutes ago, where were you? With Kendal under the stars? Wait a second! Do you like Kendal!" Cole said.
"Whatever. In her dreams." I tried to play it off, but I was pretty sure I didn't quite sell it.
"Where did you go after you saw us?" Cole pressed. "Were you on the roof?"
"Shut up, Cole." I said. I was nervous now.
Cole made his voice dreamy. "Were you with her on the roof, under the stars, putting flowers in her hair?"
"Keep your messed up day dreams to yourself." I said.
"I wasnt the one smiling like and idiot when I walked into the room." Cole said smugly.
I went rigid. I could barely keep my voice under control. "She's one of the few people here that are actually nice. Actually a good person. Don't make it sound like I . . .  You don't want me to hate you Cole. You really don't. Watch it."
"I'm just messing with you." Cole said.
"I hope you think it's worth it." I said.
"Thanks for thé tips today." Cole said, obviously trying to change the subject.
"What a new one? Stay out of my way."
"We sleep in the same room." Cole said.
"Then borrow a lesson from Twitch and keep your head down." I said.
I turned and stormed out of the room. I decided to go back up to the roof. I almost went and asked Kendal to come with me, but I didn't want to wake her if she was sleeping.
Once I got up there, I thought about what had happened earlier. Kendal said that she liked someone she met here. Could it be me? I didn't want to get my hopes up but I couldn't help it. Especially when she kissed me. It was the first time I had thought that maybe,  just maybe,  I could get this beautiful, sarcastic, funny, brave girl to like me.
I could never get her out of my head. She was perfect. Her eyes were a pretty light blue, framed by long dark lashes. She had long, soft, blonde hair that shone in the sun, that always wanted to run my fingers through it. Her smile brightens up the room. She has little freckles than ran across her nose and cheeks. She was an amazing scout. How could anyone not like her? I want to be her boyfriend so bad. But for now, we were friends, and that was good enough.
