chpt 1: distant dreams

Annes pov

I woke up to the smell of waffles and I already knew my mom was cooking. I got up and got ready, I opened my closet and began to choose clothes.

"𝘸𝘩𝘺 𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘵 𝘴𝘰 𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘰𝘴𝘦 𝘤𝘭𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘴?" I thought to myself and I struggled to find what to wear.

I soon decided on a white and light blue hoodie with a little bear pouch. It had a half white and half blue sleeve with light blue strings. Along with the hoodie I chose a light blue skirt to add to it.

I looked at myself in the mirror '𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘱" I thought as I finger gunned my reflection.

I headed down stairs to meet my parents first being greeted by my mom in the kitchen "hello sweetie" she spoke in a caring tone while looking up from what she was cooking and smiled at me.

I smiled back and replied "hey mom can I just have some fruit and I will be heading out?" I offered, she nodded and pointed to a fruit basket. I walked over to it and chose an apple and said goodbye to my dad before leaving for school.

I took out my phone and looked at the time to see it was 6:56 P.M I then checked my messages to see if I have any missed calls or messages stuff like that I saw a text from my best friend.

She was my best friend I have known her since we were little, she has always been there for me and stuck by side.

I also might have a small crush on her but that's irrelevant.

I looked at the message and it read

Mar-mar💚: hey Anne you up yet?

I looked at the message thinking of how to respond then after some short thinking I replied

Mar-mar💚: hey Anne you up yet?

Me: yup I'm up

I noticed I was coming to a road so I stopped and waited till a red light then I continued, as I crossed I heard my phone buzz and I looked and saw a message from Marcy

Mar-mar💚: hey Anne you up yet?

Me: yup I'm up

Mar-mar💚: oh good I was just wondering if you wanted to hang out after school?

I blushed at the thought of going out with Marcy after school but I must remember that it's only to hang out not a date.

I quickly replied.

Mar-mar💚: hey Anne you up?

Me: yup I'm up

Mar-mar💚: oh good I was just wondering if you wanted to hang out after school?

Me: yeah sure I would love to hang out after school!
