Annes pov:

It's been two days since the hangout with marcy in the woods.

I still dreaming and have images of that day man I loved it. It was perfect marcy even put her head on my shoulder! That was the best part.

I wonder how marcy found that place anyway probably tripped or something.

Anyway it's the end of the day now and I'm walking home.

I suddenly hear a little chirp it sounds like a chirp of despair or alarm I looked around and saw a bird laying on the floor it was badly injured.

I felt bad for the poor thing so I grabbed out a towel from my back back and then gently picked up the bird.

I continued to walk home as I was listening to the bird's chirps of pain. '𝘗𝘰𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨' I thought.

I finally managed to get back home.

"Sweetie what is that?" My mother asked seeing the towel.

"It's this injured bird I found on the street it was badly hurt and I didn't wanna leave it out there to die" I explained she looked at the bird a bit grossed out because there was a dying animal in her house.

"Sweetie it was very thoughtful of you but you can't bring a injured animal in the house!" She spoke with worry for the animal but also sternly.

"I know but mom please! I will take care of it and when it's healed I might be able to have a pe- I mean I can set it free!" I explain once more.

My mom sighed "fine once it heals you will take it back outside okay?" She said sternly the worry still in her voice, "yes ma'am!" I examined doing a little salute.

I ran upstairs holding the bird careful to not drop it.

When I was in my room I set it down on my bed grabbing a first aid kit and looking up some videos on how to deal with bird wounds.

*five minutes later*

I finally finished and the bird stopped chirping it's eyes we're close I was panicking incase it died but then it squirmed a bit.

It looked like it was trying to get comfortable so I layed it on its side if that would help then it stopped squirming.

'𝘞𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘢𝘵 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘪𝘵'𝘴 𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘷𝘦' I thought. Hm maybe I could get a bowl of water for it and some worms? I think birds like worms?

I grabbed two bowls one filled with water that I put next to the bird then I went outside with the other bowl and found some worms I will admit i was disgusted touching them.

I went back inside and set those next to the bird then went back to researching on how to take care of a bird there were many helpful tips online.

Soon enough I knew a lot of how to take care of birds I heard movement so I looked over and saw the bird stirring.

It chirped as it opened it's eyes, it looked around and it's eyes landed on the bowls. It hopped flew over to the bowls and began to eat and drink.

I don't think it noticed me yet, so I silently walked over to it waiting to see if it notices me.

Soon enough it stopped eating and paused. It turned it's head towards me, I was waiting for it to fly but it just stood there like it was to shocked maybe.

I stood silently not wanting to startle it. Soon enough it took flight back over to the bed, sat, and chirped at me.

I looked confused because the bird should be scared of me not wanting me to come near it right?

I slowly walked over and sat next to it. Then it scooted closer to me and snuggled next to me '𝘴𝘰 𝘤𝘶𝘵𝘦𝘦𝘦!'.

"Hmm what am I gonna name you.. " i thought out loud it chirped back at me. "Hmm well how about Charlie?" It chirped angrily and I chuckled.

"Alright alright... Daisy?" I asked it, it chirped angrily again.

"No? Okay how about... Coco?" I asked it then it chirped happily "alright then Coco it is." I chuckled.

They continued to snuggle close to me '𝘐 𝘥𝘰𝘯'𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬 𝘣𝘪𝘳𝘥𝘴 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘮𝘦𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘤𝘶𝘥𝘥𝘭𝘺' I thought but shrugged it off.

I got off the bed and the bird rolled over then sat up and chirped angrily at me I laughed "sorry sorry I just wanted to go get something" man I would sound so weird if people knew I was talking to a bird!

I went to the living room where my parents were.

"Hey mom could we call someone so we know the birds gender?"

"Sweetie no, remember it's only till it's healed completely" my mom explained

I sighed and walked back upstairs I opened my laptop and looked up how to tell a birds gender.

After some research I inspected the bird and found out it was a girl! "So your a girl eh?" I thought out loud again.

"Well that's nice!" I said "what do you wanna do coco?" I asked she just snuggled closer and chirped looking at my hand.

I was confused "what?" I asked they snuggled into my hand "oh you want me to pet you?" '𝘉𝘪𝘳𝘥𝘴 𝘥𝘦𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘺 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥𝘯'𝘵 𝘣𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘤𝘶𝘥𝘥𝘭𝘺' I thought again.

Coco chirped at me happily so I smiled and began to pet her.

She was clearly happy that I was petting her as she kept snuggling closer into my hand.

I checked the time '9:00!?!?' Has time really gone by that fast?

I should really get to bed soon "hey Coco I got to get to bed so I can get a good night's sleep" I told Coco she chirped sadly but then grabbed the towel with her mouth and dragged it next to my pillow.

I laughed, "alright let's get some sleep" I said and smiled then went to laid my head down while petting Coco I fell asleep.
