That first moment

Meanwhile with Shelby, she was struggling. But she forced herself to keep fighting, enemies were harder in Inazuma than they were in Liyue that's for sure. The electro mage shot an attack at Shelby and she then fell on her hands and knees now, she struggled to stand up but the electric shocks made it hard for her to move, stupid electro mage. The mage was about to hit another attack but before either of them knew it, the mage was sent flying through the air. Shelby saw it was Itto who sent the mage flying, he seemed furious "None of you are EVER harming Shelby! Not on my behalf! YOU GOT THAT!" he shouted in what seemed like anger. Shelby was surprised by this action and she suddenly felt all warm and fuzzy inside. What was-

Then suddenly Itto picked her up and made a run for it "Wha?! Bring me back! I can handle them!!" But he didn't stop, he just kept going "HEY ARE YOU LISTENING TO ME I SAID- huh?" Shelby was about to bonk Itto but she stopped herself when she noticed something off. She saw tears in Ittos eyes "Itto?" He then slowed down from running to walking "I-I" he stuttered "I'm sorry, I just couldn't just stand there and watch you get badly hurt like that! I don't know what I would do with myself if you didn't make it through that fight" he then held Shelby closer to him into somewhat of a hug as he continued to cry "I just couldn't stand seeing all that happen to you" Itto sobbed.

"Woah woah woah" Shelby pushed herself away from the hug to look at Itto "Look, I'm alive. As much as I hate to say this but I'm still here thanks to you, so no need to cry over spilled milk" Shelby explained, It was quiet for a sec then Itto sniffed. Shelby sighed "Here" she then placed her hands on his cheeks and wiped off the tears with her thumbs. Itto felt his heart flutter and his face turned into a light shade of pink as Shelby did this "Better?" She asked, Itto once again sniffed and smiled "Mhm" he replied.

They looked at each other in the eyes for a hot minute, until Shelby snapped back to reality and realized her position "Um, can you put me down please" she sternly requested, Itto gave a mischievous grin "Nope! I'm not letting you go" he said playfully. Then Shelby bonked Itto "I SAID PUT ME DOWN" she shouted "Ow, Okay! Fine, you didn't have to bonk me. That hurt you know" he said as he put Shelby down.

"Finally" she said, she was about to walk back to the motel then stopped herself. She turned around to look at Itto "By the way. Thank you, for uh saving me back there" she said. Itto smiled "Haha, anytime. For I am Arataki Itto, fast as the wind and mighty as thunder" Shelby gave an unimpressed look 'Great! He has an ego' she thought in her head.

"And if you need help, you can always call me. I'll be there when you need it, it's okay to ask for help " Itto continued, Shelbys eyes widened at his words "I-" she stops herself then looks away "Whatever, I guess I owe you one now. See you next time" she said. Itto gave a fav of surprise "Next time? You mean I can see you again?!" Itto shouted happily.

"I would keep telling you to leave me alone, but I doubt that'll stop you. So I guess I'll allow it" Shelby answered, Itto cheered and suddenly hugged Shelby tightly "Yay! Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank yoouuuuuu" he said happily, Shelby struggled to get out of the hug "Ngh, you don't need to thank me. Now let me go!" She demanded.

Then the sound of a camera flash was heard, Shelby saw that it was Quiana taking a photo of them, "I'm totally showing Shenhe this when we get back" she said, "QUIANA!! DELETE THAT NOW!" Shelby yelled out while still struggling out of Ittos hug.

"Itto?" Itto then realized his position "Oh, hehe right" he chuckled and let go of Shelby, she sighed "Oh yeah, I just remembered. Before all of that, you had something to ask me. What was it?" Shelby asked, Itto then perked up "Oh yeah! I almost forgot. I know you said no before, but I wanted to ask you to have a day where you and I can hang out together" Itto smiled.

It was quiet for second "I still am not interested like I said before" she said, but it was a little different this time. The way she said it was more calmer than before, Itto pouted at her response "But I might think about it some point" Shelby continued.

Itto perked up at the last sentence "Really?!" He blurted out. Shelby sighed with an annoyed face "Sure, whatever" she replied, and once again Itto cheered. Shelby suddenly felt a pang in her chest, it felt weird and even painful but she just brushed off the strange feeling.

"You good Shelby?" Quiana suddenly asked causing her to jump "Yeah, I'm great after you took that photo of me and Itto" Shelby answered in a sarcastic voice "Hey, you know I'm a blackmailer......... wanna get food?" Quiana said.

Shelby sighed "Sure" Itto shined a bright smile to Shelby "While I'd love to hang with you more but I got business I gotta take care of. So, see you next time Shelbs" Itto said as he walked backwards and finger guns.

Shelby raised an eyebrow "Shelbs?" She muttered as she was walking back to Inazuma City with Quiana. They stopped at a restaurant in the City to get food, Shelby got Yakisoba and Quiana got Miso soup.

Once they finished their food they walked back to their motel "You'll think about it you say?" Quiana said with a slight smirk, Shelby gave a look that was done with things "I only told him that so he wouldn't bother me about it" Shelby explained, Quiana shrugged "Alright, if you say so" she said.

They got back to their room. They were about to go to their own rooms until "Quiana" Shelby called, Quiana looked at her and hummed in curiosity "Good night" she said. Quiana was surprised by that "Uh, Night" Quiana said then entered her room.
