Her ice heart melted (Itto x Oc)

A real Date

Morning came, Shelby had slept well. She was slowly waking up, she noticed that she was strangely warmer than usual and the thing she was holding was much more firm than a pillow, she finally opened her eyes and saw Itto on her bed, snuggling close to her, his face nuzzled against her chest and her hugging him back.

Shelby happily smiled and gave him a small kiss on the top of his head as she lightly pet his fluffy hair. Itto looked so peaceful snuggled up to her, Shelby felt so warm and fuzzy inside just watching him sleep peacefully beside her. She was so mesmerized that she stopped petting his hair "Keep petting" Itto muttered. Shelby was surprised to hear him speak but then lightly chuckled "Heh, Good morning you. How long were you awake?" She said quietly "A while before you were. I just wanted to stay snuggled up to my other half" he explained.

Shelby chuckled once again, hugged him more tightly and continued petting his hair. They were in this position for a while "The sound of your heartbeat is relaxing" he muttered, Shelby blushed a little at the compliment "You were listening to my heartbeat?" She asked

"Mhm" he replied "It's always good to know that you're alive and well. It makes me happy" Itto smiled, Shelby chuckled and smiled "The sound of your heart is nice too." She said quietly so no one would hear.

They laid on the bed a bit longer "Hey Shelbs" Itto mumbled "Hm?" There a moment of silence "You wanna go on a date today?" He asked as he nuzzled closely to her. She blushed at his question but smiled happily "Yes, I would absolutely love that. But that means you would have to get up and let go of me" Shelby noted.

Itto gave a puppy like whine "But I don't wanna. You're just so comfy" he complained nuzzling against her even more, causing her to giggle slightly "Come on, don't you want to do that date today?" It was quiet for a moment until Itto replied with a whiny "Mhm" then he slowly let go of Shelby and slipped out of bed.

Shelby sat at looked at him in the eyes, "Where and when?" Shelby asked, "Huh?" Itto uttered "Our date" She clarified. "Oh right" he took a moment to think about it "How does the big tree that's outside the city at 1 sound?" He suggested. Shelby nodded "Sounds good to me" Itto smiled, he was about to leave but right before he did he quickly squeezes Shelbys face and gave her a tender kiss on her forehead and then left "OKAY SEE YOU LATER BYE!!!" He shouted, leaving Shelby flushed red.

Shelby planted her red face on her pillow and started kicking her feet in a giddy manner. Quiana took a peek in her room and smiled seeing her get so excited about something like a date.

Shelby took a moment to calm herself down so she can get herself ready. While she was getting ready, she giggled realizing something. She's felt so excited about something like this in her life, she wasn't complaining though. It made her feel happy.

Shelby walked up to the tree and slowly walked around it, she seemed a little confused as she believed that Itto was gonna be there "Itto?" She continued to look around the tree until she saw Itto swing in front of her hanging from a branch going "Rawr!" Shelby seemed unfazed and just gave him a peck on the lips "Hello to you too you numbskull" she said.

Itto blushed intensely and then pouted "Aw man, I was hoping I'd scare you there" he whined. Shelby chuckled with a smile "Sorry to disappoint" Itto returned the smile and hopped off the tree, well more like fell off than hopped off. Shelby immediately kneeled beside him and moved his head on to her lap to check on him.

"Are you okay? That seemed like a pretty bad fall" she asked cupping his face. Itto smiled looking up at her "Better now that you're here" he said with confidence causing Shelby to blush and then giggle, Itto himself then cupped Shelbys face "I guess I just couldn't help falling for you" he said with a smug smile.

"Hehe, that was super cheesy" Shelby noted with a smile, Ittos smirk slowly formed into a soft smile "It's true though" they both smiled at each other, Itto gently pulled her closer and she happily leaned in to kiss him even if it was upside down.(It's like a spider-man kiss) They stayed in the kiss for a while until they broke the kiss and stared deeply into each other's eyes with a smile.

Itto sat up, cupped Shelbys face slightly smooshing it and pressed his forehead against hers "God... you make me feel like the luckiest oni to ever live" he said happily making them both giggle a lot. "And you make me feel happy that I'm alive today. It just took me longer than you to realize it" Shelby said, embracing the moment.

Itto grins evilly "Oh yeah, Quiana has told me something about you" he said, Shelby looked at him nervously "Oh no. What did she say?" She asked.

Itto formed clawing hands with an evil chuckle, Shelby knew exactly where this was going. "Uh oh" she exclaimed, she was about to run away but it was too late, Itto got a hold of her and began tickling her sides. Shelby began laughing loudly "No! Stop! I'm ticklish" She attempted to say, "I know! That's the point" Itto laughed with Shelby.

She tried her best to escape the tickles but to no avail she was trapped "Haha, you cannot escape me! For I am Arataki Itto" Shelby continued to laugh hysterically as she was getting tickled.

Shelby continued laughing but also grinned evilly "Oh yeah?!" She then tackled Itto and began to tickle him as well. Itto also begins to laugh hysterically "Nooo not me!" He cried while laughing, Shelby giggled at his response "You started it, so you asked for it!!" She triumphantly called out, Itto quickly pulled her into a tight causing her to lightly yelp.

The two rolled down the small hill, landing with Itto on top of Shelby. Both of them still laughing together, Shelbys arms wrapped around Ittos neck. They stared into each other's eyes again and both slowly sat up "You know something? We never got to do that beetle battle" Itto noted, Shelby hummed at his words. His eyes sparkled "Can we do one?" He pleaded like a child "Hm, I don't know" Shelby gave it thought.

"Come on, just one beetle battle?" Itto begged, Shelby sighed and smiled "Okay fine, just one battle" Itto cheered in happiness "ALL RIGHT!!" Shelby just chuckled at his excitement. So the 2 got their beetles and began their battle. The 2 of them cheered at their own beetle as they battled, and it seemed like that Shelby's beetle was winning "Oh no, I'm loosing!" Itto said as he did this dramatic faint, Shelby laughed at his action "Hey, no need to be so dramatic. Get up" she said chuckling. But Itto just laid there staying still, she got confused and crawled over to Itto "Itto?" She got her face closer to his and when she least expected it Itto kissed her. "Haha! Gotcha!" He said with pride, Shelby blushed intensely from this sudden action "Hehe, yeah. You got me" Shelby squeaked as she covered her red face with her hands.

"Aw, don't hide your face. You're so cute when you blush like that" he said, holding her hands to unhide her face, making her blush more "Shut up" she begged in a flustered manner "Make me" Itto said confidently "Alright then" and then Shelby cupped his face and placed many kisses all over his face. Which caused Itto to turn bright red and flustered.

Throughout the day the two just acted like a newborn couple. Probably because they are one, they laughed, loved, and just overall felt so happy together. It was now nighttime, they laid in the grass beside each other watching the stars.

Shelby drifted off to sleep, Itto noticed and smiled he leaned on his side and pulled Shelby closer to him, "Sleep well my one and oni. I'll be here when you wake up" he whispered and fell asleep as well.
