We are on Raul's company's jet, and I am sitting with Rory sitting next to me in her car seat while Raul sits across from me with Tatum next to him in his car seat. We are feeding the twins with my breast milk in bottles because as Mãe pointed out, I may be very busy in the next few weeks so it may be better if I express and then bottle feed the twins. Olivia is sitting across the aisle talking to Mãe, when I asked her to be my maid of honor and then explained we are going to Portugal to do a traditional wedding, she almost lost her mind, thank goodness she has calmed down a bit because she can now work with Mãe to plan the wedding, trusting Olivia to make sure I can at least stand the decisions. I look over at Raul and he's once again on his phone apparently, he's been putting out fires and conducting business while he's at home with us and after I heard that, my heart expanded again with the realization that he really loves us and is really trying to make it work. I myself have also worked between mothering duties; I may have to keep the lady that I hired to assist me during my maternity leave. She has done an excellent job and has even expanded with sales.
Olivia takes Rory from me after I have burped her, and she hands her to her grandmother then places the car seat onto the floor and sits next to me "Can I just say wow! You have done well for yourself" I smile at her, and Raul raises his voice while speaking in Portuguese "And can I just say that when he does that, it makes me hot" I wink at her, and she squeals, and I laugh with her. "But seriously, how are you doing?" I take a deep breath "I haven't had time to really think about it, between the twins and work it's been very busy, I actually think that's how I am getting through though" she nods and I am thankful that she has been with me for a long time she knows for me to keep busy is easier than for me to stand still and let everything suffocate me. "Well don't worry about the wedding, I know what you like, will put up with and what you hate, and I'm not marring into the family so I don't have to be diplomatic while getting your references across" although I worry about that I am actually relived that I have someone in my corner, I don't doubt that I have Raul and his mother on my side but I know one adapts to their surroundings and I don't know if this factor will change them.
We land at Lisbon Airport, and we have a limo waiting for us out on the tarmac "Bem vindo mestre, madame e convidados" says the driver who bows down at each of us "Obrigada" I reply, and Raul gives me an impressed look and Mãe winks at me. Olivia slides in and I hand her the car seats, Mãe gets in next then I climb in and Raul follows me "When did you learn that?" he asks me, I beam "Your mother has been teaching me a few phases while we were planning this trip" he smiles at me and leans in to whisper "That got me hard, I need to taste you again and soon" he sits back and places his head against the back of the seat. That's so unfair, now I'm all hot and bothered and judging from his smile, he knows exactly what he's done to me. "Raul, vou colocar vocês dois em quartos diferentes até depois do casamento" he opens his eyes and looks at his mother "Nenhuma mãe, we want to share a room, we already have had babies and I help Leah with night feeds so it'll be easier if we stay together" I don't need a translator to know what was said and I am so glad that he's still in my corner. "Ok fine but many people are going to be talking about it" she warns us "Let them talk, this is my family, and I will not be separated from them" I squeeze my knees together, after hearing him declare that I am so wet and needy for him. "I have a surprise when we get to the villa" Raul gives his mother a murderous look "Não me diga que você organizou uma festa" she looks surprised "Sim, claro que tenho, não é todo dia que meu filho fica noivo" he looks like he wants to hit something "Mother! Leah has just given birth three weeks ago and has been travelling for the last eleven hours, I'm sure she would prefer it if she could settle in and rest and not attend a party" his mother puffs out a breath and replies "Yes I understand dear but this is more of a dinner than a party, I've just invited one or two aunts and uncles and a few friends" he doesn't look happy but he drops the subject.
"I wish you were coming with us, you were invited you know" she smiles at me in the mirror as she finishes styling my hair "I know dear but someone has to look after those two" Pointing at the two cribs that is currently housing the twins "Ok how about I'll stay and you go" she laughs at me but shakes her head "Are you ready, Bela moca?" I nod and hug Olivia good night, kiss both twins on their foreheads before joining Raul at the door, he kisses my cheek and whispers "You look beautiful tonight Bela moca" I smile and whisper my thanks as I link my arm through his and we walk down the hall together. We enter the hall where a few people are standing around talking together and all of a sudden, the room falls quiet and it feels like all eyes are trained on us, I squeeze Raul's arm and he pats my hand and encourages us to move forward. "Merda! What is she doing here" I look around and whisper "Who?" He turns us around and looks at me with an apology in his eyes "Sorry Bela moca, this is going to be a little awkward, the woman who is heading towards us is an ex flame and a royal bitch" just then a woman with really strong perfume wraps her arms around Raul and I tense "Raul, baby, onde você esteve?" He steps closer to me and wraps an arm around my waist "English please" she steps back as if he slapped her "Oh so this is the whore you knocked up and now you need to marry" he growls at her "Don't you dare come into my home and think you can speak to my wife-to-be and the mother of my children like that, try that shit again and you will be escorted out" and with that he pulls me towards the drinks and pours us some glasses, the rest of the evening is very tense.
