Blinky's Day Out | Part 2

"Almost there!" Claire said as the other followed her. Toby grunted, "Who voted for hiking?" Toby asked, placing his hand on a near by tree to rest. "I thought we were supposed to be doing cool outdoor activities." Toby strained out, wheezing.

"Where's Y/n?" Jim asked from beside Claire. Claire gave him a look before answering hesitantly. "She said she'd meet us here, I texted her earlier. Why're you asking?" Claire asked, kicking a bottle aside as they headed up. "Just thought she should be here for this momentous occasion." Jim freaked out.

Claire looked away, as they stopped, turning around when they heard running footsteps. "Yo! What's good guys?" They heard a very familiar voice from behind them. "Y/n! Hey!" Toby greeted before taking deep breaths of air.

"Oh. Hey Y/n." Claire said, folding her arms looking her up and down. Y/n gave her a confused look as she hugged Toby- now regretting it since she could feel the sweat. Y/n walked over to her, giving a cautious grin.

"Claire, can I talk to you for a minute?" Y/n asked, putting a hand on her shoulder. Claire nodded, frown still on her face as they stood off to the side. "What's goin' on?" Y/n asked, confused why she was getting the stank eye.

"Did Jim by any chance ask you to the Spring Fling?" Claire asked, fiddling with her fingers. Y/n blinked, then blinked again. Then blinked at the girl once more for good measure. "Claire, no he did not ask me to the Spring Fling. And I'm currently interested in someone else at the moment anyways." Y/n told her, giving a reassuring smile.

Claire smiled back and nodded her head. "I'm sorry for giving you the look." Claire apologized and Y/n shrugged it off. "So who's this boy you're into?" Claire asked suggestively, wiggling her eyebrows.

"Yeah- don't do that again." Y/n said, pointing at her brows making Claire laugh. "Well, he has a monstrous side to him, he claims he has no soul. But deep down I know there's something there to him that he himself can't see." Y/n told Claire he blinked. "Well that was deep." Claire said chuckling, Y/n chuckling along with her.

"Guys, you're going to miss the sight!" Toby yelled, ushering them over. Claire and Y/n walked over to the edge to see the sun lowering on Arcadia Oaks. "So, your first day as a human is almost to a close." Toby said, holding Blinky's shoulder.

Y/n turned around, raising a brow. "Oh, that's Blinky?!"

Y/n felt her ring warm up on her finger in pulses, she looked around for Angor, not seeing him. "I knew he was bipolar." Y/n said in her head, rolling her eyes. Y/n watched as Claire was heading over to put a glass bottle in the dumpster when a glass monster came out of the bin, making Claire scream.

"Another golem?" Blinky asked looking at the creature. "Oh- so he isn't bipolar." Y/n muttered to herself as she stood up from her bench. "Wait- you've seen these things before?!" Y/n asked, putting on her innocent act again.

"I thought you said it was made of mud, not glass!" Toby screeched. "Well it's one of him and five of us." Jim said, bringing out his amulet, giving him his daylight armor.

"Boy, now what you want us to do against something that can give us cuts?" Y/n deadpanned as she still posted up. "Flank him." Jim instructed as Toby picked up a trash can lid, charging with Blinky and Claire.

Y/n looked around, seeing as this was off somehow. She spotted another golem coming out from behind the rocks. "There's another one!" Y/n warned them, turning to see the other one. "It appears she is correct!" Blinky said, turning around to meet it.

"Get down!" Jim warned, turning around and slicing the two, getting shards everywhere. The group of teens plus one backed up, Toby getting pricked from behind, yelping as he holds his buttcheek. "Our flank was outflanked!" Toby said as they got cornered. "Why did Angor make so many of these things?!" Y/n thought as she started to sweat nervously.

"Jim, what do we do?" Claire asked, turning to him. "I don't know, last time I fought one of these, they had some weird stone doll in it." Jim explained to her. "An animus totem. We must rip them from out of the beasts' hearts and destroy them." Blinky told the group who nodded. "You mean I gotta put my hand in that thing?" Toby asked, pointing at the totem who was walking towards them.

"Stand back friends, they are no match for the rocky fist of justice." Blinky said as he  punched one, his hand getting cut by the shards. Y/n stifled a laugh with her sleeve. "Valiant try Blinky, but your flesh gets cut by glass." Y/n told him smiling whilst shaking her head.

Claire smashed the totem Blinky had previously punched yelling, "Blinky run!" To which he did quickly. The totem turned around, throwing a punch at Claire, who dodged, grunting as she fell into the floor. The group started throwing things at the totems, trying to distract them. Jim getting flung by one hit from the totem, landing by a tree. He sat up, rubbing his head a few times groaning.

He looked to the right of him to see the mysterious troll who was stalking him at his school disappear behind a tree, going to follow him. "He's getting away!" Jim pointed, turning around to the group. He watched as Y/n got thrown in his direction, landing by his feet.

She got up with a groan. "Who?" Y/n asked cluelessly. Jim just shook his head, "Just follow me." Jim said as he ran, Y/n getting up and following him. Y/n ran after him, watching him look throughout the forest as they went on.

Y/n watched Jim draw his sword as they ran, Y/n seeing Angor rot in the distance as well, hiding behind trees. Angor Rot popped up from behind another tree, Y/n stopping  before Jim gets frozen in a stasis.

"Woah- what?!" Y/n asked looking at Jim before averting her gaze to Angor. "Let him go!" Y/n said to Angor, who gave her a confusing look. "Oh my god, work with me Angie!" Yelled in her head as he got the message, pointing his staff at her, guiding a shadow so he could walk in daylight.

"My troubles aren't with you, fleshbag, depart my presence." Angor said, making a portal to the shadow realm behind her. She turned around looking at the portal before turning around and getting knocked in by Angor, the portal closing.

Jim let out a muffled moan, surprised as Angor just laughed. "You've wandered into my web, my human hunter." Angor said, circling him like prey.

"I am Angor Rot, and I will be the last you see before you die." He said, getting in Jim's face. Jim tried to speak once more, it being muffled though. "Shh, it's useless to speak." Angor shushed him, Jim looking him up and down.

Angor put his finger up in front of Jim's face as he started to carve. "I have killed hunters in the past but never a human one," Angor started, "Such curious game." Angor finished carving, putting his hands behind his back. "I will not give you the sweet release of death, not yet. I will relish this hunt." Angor told him as Jim let out muffled screams.

"Relax, your friends won't help you now." Angor said opening his palms, yellow glowing from them. Finishing, he grabbed his staff, putting it to Jim's head before raising it in the air and chanting in troll. Opening his eyes suddenly, getting in Jim's face once more.

"Next time we meet, hunter, Daylight will be mine to command." Angor said, making a portal, Y/n falling out from it. He looked at her before walking into the portal, it closing behind him. "Jim!" His friends said, running from behind him.

"He's in a stasis trap, don't touch the stones!" Blinky warned as they came face to face with Jim. Claire helping Y/n get up as she shook her head. Blinky bodied Jim, removing him from the stasis before warning him, "Master Jim, the golem!"

Jim turned around to see the glass golem walking towards them, snarling. Jim got Daylight, charging at him slicing the golem in half before turning around to slice the totem inside in half smoothly.

"Sheesh! Jim with the ice cold moves!" Y/n said cockily before coughing and kneeling on the floor. "Y/n are you okay?" Claire asked as she didn't answer. "That weird troll pushed her through some dark portal." Jim told them as Blinky took in the information. "Jim, your face." Toby said wearily. "The golems, they were a distraction." Blinky realized as they all cornered Jim.

"What does it mean?" Claire asked. "The signal of Angor Rot." Blinky said as Y/n's ring glowed, she quickly put her hands in her hoodie pocket. "Master Jim, I fear you have been marked for a fate worse than death." Blinky told him wearily, putting a hand on his shoulder.
