{Childish Love}

There he was.

The most gorgeous boy you had ever met.

Sasuke Uchiha.

Just his name brought you joy and seeing him made you even happier. He was your friend. Your only friend. And to him you were his only friend too. Perhaps the word 'friend' was too over the top for him but you were the only person who knew him for who he was. Not simply "the last boy of the Uchiha clan" or "most handsome boy in the academy". You knew him for what he was, far more deeper than what met the eyes of the people.

You smiled and slowly picked up your pace to wish him. He stopped and stared at you, waiting for a few words.

"Hey! Did you sleep well?"

"Yes" he replied shortly. Ugh. Just the same usual behaviour. Unusually rude and quiet. It bothered you ofcourse but you never said anything, worried whether he would get really mad. But it did break your heart daily.

"Shall we go to the academy?" You ask politely and you took his grunt as a yes. You grabbed his arm to walk side by side but he stopped you. "Don't touch me" he warned.

You withdrew your hand.

"Sasuke....." you began but he raised his arm to silence you. He knew what you would say and you knew how to reply.

"Get over me quickly. That's the best thing for you" he made it clear that you couldn't be his. He made it clear he wanted no-one. He made it clear that you meant nothing to him. And it ached horribly.

"Sasuke...." you tried again but he cut across you once more.

"Please"

That was a first.

Sasuke Uchiha saying please? Pfft no way. You looked at him like you looked at him the first day you ever talked to him. In admiration. Because for someone who did hurt you, you still admired him. And it was annoying.

You didn't know what to do. Except one thought crossed your mind and that was to let him know how you felt for him. How you've always felt for him.

"I want to speak and don't interrupt me. I don't know what I feel about you but I know that I like you. A crazy lot. I don't know if it's love or not but it's definitely not for your looks. It's because I admire you. I admire you so much that it's impossible for me to stay away. I admire the way you don't get fazed and I admire you for always speaking your heart. I won't bother you anymore because I will keep these feelings aside like you said. You're right. These feelings are unnecessary. But it cannot be helped. I can't control my heart. I wanted you to know this because I'm leaving. Today is going to be my last day here. I'm leaving the village. I don't know for how long but atleast for a while. Thank you Sasuke Uchiha for being my companion and comrade. But most importantly my first and last love".

You turned and left.

You didn't hear from him and nor did he hear from you.

Ten years passed.

And you were finally back home. You were finally done with every mission possible and all your training was complete. You came back.
