{Introvert-Extrovert}

"Quiet class" Iruka sensei turned to face the classroom. "Okay so we have a new student. Please welcome Aya Hayashi".

A girl quietly stepped inside the classroom, fidgeting nervously with her fingers. Her long blue hair covered her face and she wore a simple black tee paired with casual pants. "Please introduce yourself" Iruka urged her while smiling warmly towards her. She slowly looked up, tucking the loose hair behind her ears with a gulp of her saliva.

"H-Hi" she echoed out.

Everyone clapped their hands and Iruka pointed a seat to her. Clutching her bag strap ever so tightly, she made her way up the stairs, pairs of curious eyes following her. Finally she stopped at her seat, next to a yellow haired kid who was smiling showing his teeth to her. Finding it rather adorable, she giggled.

"You have a beautiful laugh" the boy whispered near her ear. She glanced to her side assuming he was talking to someone else. He took notice of this and giggled. "I'm talking to you silly".

"Oh" came her small voice.

"Aya right? Aya Hayashi?" he once again turned to face her completely. She nodded shyly. "I'm Naruto Uzumaki. Nice to meet you!" he held out his hand. She stared at it, contemplating for a while but hesitantly reached out.

Since then Aya and Naruto always hung out together. They weren't in the same teams however he always hung out with her after practices. He was definitely the more talkative one whereas she usually stayed quiet, listening to everything he's got to say. Sometimes his conversations lasted for an hour or more and it shocked her on how someone could be so hyper.

She was sitting quietly, drawing while leaning against the trunk, waiting for her friend to arrive. He was unusually late today. But she kept waiting till she fell asleep by the riverside.

"Aya....Please wake up" a tiny croaky voice awoke her. Aya fluttered her eyes open to meet a pair of strinkingly blue eyes. She stopped breathing and stared into his eyes. "Oh you're awake!" he smiled and pulled back, crossing his legs.

"Where were you Naruto-kun?"

"Sorry Aya-chan. I had some extra training with Pervy Sage"

"Oh" she replied and stared at the moonlight's reflection on the river water. Naruto moved closer to her while leaning against the trunk too.

Weirdly for him, Naruto didn't speak much today. She wasn't sure why. So she decided to ask.

"Naruto-kun why are you so quiet today?" Her tiny voice whispered.

"Oh uh Aya-chan. Uh....."

"What is it"

"Aya-chan I'll be leaving" he announced silently. For a minute, she didn't say anything but opened her mouth eventually.

"Where? When?"

"I'll be leaving to train my skills. With Pervy Sage. Probably for two years or more"

Aya nodded sadly. She didn't want to risk loosing the only friend she had. Sure Sakura was there and even Hinata, Kiba and the others but him? He was her first true friend and she didn't want to loose him. But she knew he had to do this. He had to do it because his only goal was to save Sasuke. And in order to save him, she knew be had to leave.
