Rituals

This week was crazy. It was filled with Practices every morning and afternoon. Daniel and Hayes seemed to be getting along this week. I guess Football is bringing them closer. Today was the big Game. The championships. Everybody in school was coming to this game.
"Are you nervous?" Me Daniel and Hayes sat together at Lunch at the "Secret" table that whole week. We were becoming best friends all 3 of us.
"I'm fine" Daniel and Hayes didn't believe me.
"Seriously?"
"Yes seriously"I said
"Okay"
"If you say so" Daniel and Hayes were absolutely positive that I was nervous. They know me all to well. I was nervous. Like really nervous.
"Hi guys" a voice from behind me said. A terrible voice.
"What do you want Callie?"
"Can I sit?"
"No" Hayes said harshly.
"Fine." She looked away then looked back at us.
"Good luck at the game" she said in an evil way. she walked away from us and found a table with her friends.
"Why were you guys so mean to her?" Daniel said.
"She is trying to tear me and Hayes apart... Stay away from her I don't want her to mess with you"
"I don't want to ignore her"
"Please Daniel...If she gets to you I would be devastated. she only trying to hurt me... Promise me?"
"I promise" He said without hesitation.

I sat with Hayes through half of social studies.
"Okay every one get with a partner.. I don't care who it is" the teacher said. I automatically looked at hayes...He was already looking at me. Callie came from behind me and pushed her self in between me and hayes.
"Excuse me?"
"What?" she said.
"Hayes already has a partner"
"I know and we're going to get an A on this project"
"Ummmm"
"I'm working with Sam...Sorry?"
"Whatever" she walked away and partnered with a Kind of Cute boy..I think he's name is Bryan but I'm not sure. He's on the football team.
"I need you two to switch"
The teacher made me and Callie switch. Now I was with Bryan and Hayes was with Callie.
"Hi" he said.
"Hi"
"What period of time do you want to do?"
"It doesn't matter"
"Revolutionary war?"
"Sure" I said. He smiled at me and started writing from the text book.
"You have really good handwriting for a boy"
"Are you being sexist?"
"No I hate sexism"
"Me too I think it's retarded that girls can't play on the football team." I looked shocked. Did he really not remember that I was on the football team.
"Umm I AM on the football Team"
"Oh Yeah huh?" Was he being stupid on purpose or was he just doing it to be funny?
"Yeah" I tried to laugh my way through it.
"Are you ready for the game?"
"Yeah it's should be a good way to end the season next week"
"How many more games do we have?"
"I think 3"
"I can't wait for it to be over" he said letting out a big sigh.I saw Callie out of the corner of my eye flirting with Hayes. I also saw Hayes with a bothered face which made me laugh.

Before the game me and Hayes usually go to the woods climb a tree and throw 10 rocks exactly and the farthest rock we have to get it and put it in our lockers. it was our tradition.
"The woods?"
"Yeah let's go"
"Can Daniel come?"
"Umm it's kind of our thing"
"But I don't want to leave him out"
"But it's our ritual"
"Fine but let me tell him that il be back later."
I walked into the locker room covered my eyes and knocked.
"Is everyone decent?"
"Yeah we're good"
I walked in the locker room with everyone's gear on except Daniel he had no shirt and sat there with his plaid boxers on.
"What's wrong?" I sat next to him.
"Nothing I'm just a little nervous"
"Me and hayes are going to do one of our rituals"
"Okay be back before the game" I gave him a hug on his bare chest.
"Maybe we should have a ritual"
"Like what? rituals have to be very specific"
"I give you a piggy back ride around this bench 5 times and then you give me a piggy back ride and do the same" I laughed.
"Okay"
"When you get back ill be waiting" I smiled at him and hugged him.he put his hands at my lower back. I pulled away but he pushed me back and my lips crashed into his. He moved his lips down to my neck.
"TIME FOR A BREAK" Coach said from outside the locker room. I quickly pulled away from Daniels grasp and walked outside while lots if boys rushed into the locker room.
"You ready?"
"Yep" I told hayes. We walked to our Tree and started our ritual.
One.....two.....three......four
I counted the rocks as I threw then one at a time. I felt dirty because I'm here with Hayes and I just kissed Daniel. I felt wrong.
"What's wrong?"
"Nothing"
"I know you to well. what's wrong?" If I tell him he won't play good. I I don't tell him and he finds out he'll be devastated.
"Ill tell you later"
"Fine"
Seven.......Eight........Nine.....
"Done"
"I'm not done yet"
I threw my last rock really hard and watched it fly really far.
"Well done"
"Thank you thank you"
We picked up our farthest rock and put it in our pocket. he put his arm around me and we started walking back to the field. I left Hayes and walked into the locker room. Daniel was there waiting for me.
"Hey big guy" he turned and smiled as he turned I saw a girl.
"Hi"
