I knew that...

"Can we talk?" He asked. I was about to close the door right in front of him but he forcefully went inside my apartment.

"What the fuck? What do you want from me? After all of the things, your parents did to our family and you're still here, trying to brainwash me with all your "You need to follow the said contract" and all this shit." I ranted, looking straight into his eyes as his eyes were shredding tears as well.

"I don't control my life, Andrew. Even when I don't want to marry you for that stupid revenge my parents planned for your parents, they would still force me to do all this shit."

"Then why did you agree on marrying me if you knew you'll marry your childhood friend?"

"Because I-" Zave stopped his sentence as if he almost slipped from his words. After a few seconds of staring at each other, he hugged me, sniffing and even wiping the tears using his hand.

"What?" I said, confused as he was still hugging me. I kinda missed being hugged by someone. Especially to someone that is my childhood friend. Suddenly, someone knocked. We both looked at each other before I looked at the peephole, seeing Zave's Bodyguard and his parents at the back.

"Your parents," I whispered, looking at Zave before I point at the window at the back for him to escape but instead, the bodyguard forcefully pushed the door, breaking it as they all looked at us.

"What are you doing here, Zavien? Do you know that we can track you whenever you go? And what is this cheap place? Is this your husband's place? Oh, he's lucky to have your place despite your bedroom being even bigger than this place." Mrs. Silvius said as she wandered the place. She picked up a photo from my memo board, the photo I and Zave took when we were kids.

"Oh... isn't this you, Zave? You look good in this picture!" She said before putting it back and picking up the photo of my parents after.

"Oh, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne. How unfortunate you both died after stealing our compa-"

"I had enough!" Zave said, shouting at his own mother.

"Excuse me? Did I not teach you about respecting your mother?" Mrs. Wayne said after being shouted. She put the photo back before looking at his son.

"Did your parents teach you about respecting others? Mom, it's not Andrew's fault if his parents stole our company! The parent's doing does nothing to do with their children. If I didn't like Andrew, I would reject the offer of marrying him. Actually, it's kinda selfish of me to still marry him because I knew it would be hard for his situation once he knew it was not for a debt." Zave said, ranting everything about what he felt about this situation. The room was tense and even the air is getting colder inside.

"How dare you talk to your mother like that? You have no right to question our plans! You're just our son!" Mr. Silvius said.

"Just our son? Can't you see what you are doing to me? You're treating me like a robot! Andrew's parents are better than you two! That's why Andrew's parents stole our company because you deserve the karma-" Zave said but his mom slapped her in his face, hard enough to make his left cheek red. It was too hard that he covered it using his hand. He then turned his head to look at me and I was worried. I looked at his eyes and it was telling me that he needs help before I grabbed his hand and ran away together.

"You shouldn't talk to your mother like that, Zave! That's disrespectful!" I said as I kept dragging him away from my apartment as fast as I can. I looked behind us from time to time to make sure they were not following us.

"And what am I gonna do, huh? Just stood there and act like they're not treating you like shit? I'm so sick of how they treat me, how they treat everyone around them, and especially how they treat you! Ever since we were a kid, I'm so over with them by how they don't want me to play with you" Zave said, removing my hands off him, stopping from walking as I looked at him, saying all the reasons on why he acted to his mother like that.

"But it's still wrong to ac-"

"It's wrong to act like that when they're treating the person I like a shit? Answer me!" Zave said before putting his hands on my shoulder. He was kinda pressuring meas he was looking directly to my eyes.

"What?" I said, even my voice was telling him that I'm nervous from how shaky it is.

"Are you fucking dumb, or what? I like you! I had a crush on you since we were kids! I knew that feeling would make my parents upset if I told them I like you because they don't like you and also you're also a boy but I knew there's nothing wrong with liking you." Everything that Zave told me was shocking, I felt like I was floating up in the air. I knew that...

"I like you too, Zave."
