17: Oh Baby (Pt2)

Bri came home from school.

"Hey, how was your day?" Lance asked

"Fine" Bri said throwing her backpack down. "I'll be in my room"

Bri walked upstairs to her and shut the door

"I'm going to go talk to her" Maria said getting up from the couch. Maria walked upstairs and knocked on Bris door

"Sweetie, are you ok?"

Bri sniffled. "Fine"

Maria sighed and opened the door. "Sweetie what's wrong?"

Bri sat up and wiped her eyes. "Why did my mom leave me?"

"Oh honey" Maria sat next to her on the hed. "Why do you ask?"

"The mother daughter dance is Friday" Bri said. "And all the girls are talking about wearing matching dresses with their moms and stuff"

Maria nodded. "Its complicated sweetie"

"Why can't anyone just tell me why?!"

"Bri-"

"No, why?, just tell me"

Maria bites her lip. "Baby I dont know"

Bri nods. "Well the obvious question is that, my mom didn't love me"

Bri stood up and ran to the bathroom, shutting the door behind her.

Present

Doctor Strange did some tests on Bri. She does have an infection and she needs a heart transplant. Strange has put her on the list but shes behind 10 people. Bucky left the hospital and into work, he needs his mind on something else.

A two days have passed and Bucky hasn't came to see Bri. After their fight, Bucky just needed some time to think. He was pissed at Bri for just giving up and he also understood where she was coming from.

"Bri, what's in your mind?" Maria asked. Bri sighed.

"I don't know" she responded. "I don't know what to do"

Maria sighed and sat on the bed. "Sweetie.."

"I want to see my child grow and I want to be with Bucky, I want to marry him but I'm tired"

Maria nods. "When your mother was in this situation, she said the same things. She was tired but she wanted to see you grow up"

"But she gave up" Bri said.

Maria shaked her head. "No, she didn't. Even though she was tired of fighting, she continued to fight for you. She loved you"

Bri blinked back tears. "Really?"

"Yes Bri" Maria said. "She kept fighting for you and you need to do the same for your baby"

Bri sighed and rubbed her hands together. "But what if I don't get a new heart and a spleen, what happens?"

Maria shrugs. "You don't know, you just have to have faith"

Bri nods. "Ok...I'll sleep on it"

Maria nods and kisses her forehead. She grabs her bag and leaves the room. Bri took what her aunt said to mind. Her mom faught for her, she loved her.
