Explore With Me [A Chaesoo Story]

Chapter 4

 Jisoo wakes up to find Chaeyoung by her side. She also see 2 other girls on the opposite side of the tent, asleep. Chaeyoung was about to boil the water extracted from the roots with the campfire outside.

Jisoo ate a pack of peanuts and a piece of bread before taking a sip of water and helping Chaeyoung boil the water. Chaeyoung's mind was still preoccupied with the kiss yesterday. She carelessly burns herself.

"Are you okay?" Jisoo rummages through the first aid kit and finds a bandage and a small container of disinfectant. She quickly disinfects Jisoo's burn and wraps it up with a bandage. "Don't be so clumsy." Jisoo teases her.

"Did the team say anything about when we are going back?" Chaeyoung asked.

"No.. they just told us to use the flare if we wanted to stop the expedition." Jisoo replied.

"I'm sorry I didn't tell you earlier. But, the flare doesn't work. It's a piece of shit." Chaeyoung helplessly said.

"It's fine, we'll get through this together." Jisoo comforted Chaeyoung. "Believe me."

"I trust you." Chaeyoung held Jisoo's hand tightly.

Lisa interrupts their moment. "We gotta get going, lovebirds. How's the water?"

"It's done." Jisoo pours the boiled water into a few empty bottles. Then, they pack up and walk west.

Suddenly, they encounter a fox on the way. The fox stares at them and walks towards them. Then, it jumps onto Chaeyoung. Before any damage was done, Jisoo pushes the fox away and before the fox could get up, Jisoo pulls Chaeyoung up and they run away with Jennie and Lisa.

"Are you okay?" Jisoo asked her.

Chaeyoung nodded but noticed Jisoo limping.

"Stop." Chaeyoung told Jisoo. She sat Jisoo down and checked on her foot. It was bleeding and bruised. "What the hell happened?" Chaeyoung asked her.

The fox bit Jisoo's foot when she was pushing it away. Chaeyoung quickly cleaned the wound, it was bleeding a lot, Jisoo winced in pain. Chaeyoung bandages it before she puts Jisoo's arm around her shoulder as they continue walking.

"If you don't feel well, tell me okay?" Chaeyoung looked at Jisoo sweating.

"I'm sorry.. I feel like I keep slowing you guys down." Jisoo apologized. 

"Sorry? You fucking saved my life." Chaeyoung exclaimed. "Hey, look at me.." Jisoo turns her head to Chaeyoung and receives a kiss. The kiss put a smile on Jisoo's face for the rest of her day.

"You're so cute." Chaeyoung teased Jisoo.

Still smiling, Jisoo chuckled.

"Can you set up the tent? We're going to get wood and water." Chaeyoung asked.

Jisoo nodded and quickly started to set up the tent. 

"We should try starting a big fire so they will notice and save us." Jennie said while walking in search of trees.

"What if nobody comes?" Lisa asked.

"Worth a shot." Chaeyoung starts chopping down a tree close by.
