Chapter XIV

Ella made her way out of the caves with Kol, her feeling from the night before still swirled inside of her, she knew that something had happened but she just wasn't sure of what it was yet and wouldn't know until sometime later.

The Mikaelson witch was standing with her sister in Ayana's hut, Rhaella had been there to speak to the older witch, while Rebekah was looking at the necklace hanging in the window, she reached to touch it but her fingers were burned, making her jerk her hand back "Ayana you burned me."

The Bennett witch gave the youngest Mikaelson girl a look "it is not yours to touch child."

They could hear shouting from outside, Rebekah looked to her older sister "is that Nik?"

Ella gave her baby sister "It sounded like it, let's see what's going on." the two made their way outside, they heard their brother calling out for their mother, as he ran towards them clutching what looked like a body.

Ella froze, feeling the dread from the previous day washed over her once more as her eyes were glued to the two until Niklaus had dropped to his knees in front of their home, as Esther had exited, the older witch's eyes teared up at the sight that was in front of her. Rhaella felt like she was paralyzed by the sight of seeing her baby brother like that and there was nothing that she could do, she could feel that he was gone.

The whole family had gathered around now and Niklaus was trying to explain what had happened through his own tears, he blamed himself. Ella felt two sets of arms in case her from either side, one was Kol and on the other side, Rebekah, as they both clung to their older sister for comfort and Ella, wrapped her arms around them both as the whole family had cried and mourned the loss of their youngest member.

They were unaware of what was going to be in store for them in the coming days.

A few days had passed since the death of the youngest Mikaelson and Mikael and Esther had decided to make their family stronger and better in every way to the wolves that took the life of their youngest child, the Mikaelson witch had begged Ayana for help but the Bennett witch refused to use such dark magic and warned Esther of the consequences that would come from this but Esther wouldn't listen to her and decided to do it anyway with the encouragement from Mikael.

When the family had sat down for dinner that night they were all given wine laced with blood, after the toast was made for their brother, Mikael stabbed his sword their hearts killing them all, Rhaella was first, so she was the first to awaken after it had been done.

She sat up from the ground looking confused "Father, what's happening?"

Mikael looked at her, "it will be alright my darling Rhaella," then he brought in a girl from the village and cut her wrist "but first you must drink." Then he shoved the girl's wrist in front of Ella who suddenly felt the burning in her throat, then she felt her gums ache before she grabbed the wrist from her father's grasp and then the girl's blood dripped into her mouth as Ella drank the blood. The girl's wrist was torn from her grasp, "you need to save some for the others."

Rhaella felt the euphoric power surge through her.

One by one the Mikaelson siblings awoke and were fed the blood from the girl from the village, completing the transition, and thus the Originals were made, the first-ever vampires.
