Cheng Xiao: Meeting My Teacher

As I get off the plane I wait for my people to do everything for me. They help me get all the paperwork and such done. As soon I pass the immigration point, we go out. There isn't many people in this airport, probably because my dad chose a more secluded place for my plane to land. There are still a ton of people in the airport, but less than usual, I think. I go to the manager that my dad hired me, I look at him as he keeps guiding people to unload my suitcases.

"Hey, when is it going to end, I'm tired and I want to get to our hotel." I tap the guy, but he doesn't move or look at me, he just responds back.

"Yea, Miss Xiao, one second." He holds up a finger as he starts going near the carts that are carrying my stuff. I hate how he is ignoring me, but at least he isn't being useless either.

"Miss Xiao! Should we go find Mister Xu?" A familiar voice speaks to me. I turn around and get very surprised when I see Yan Yan.

"When did you get on board the plane? I never asked of you to come." She fidgets with her fingers a bit and then looks up at me. With a very confident and loud voice she responds back.

"Your father sent me on this flight to take care of you!" Then with a quieter voice she says, "I hope I'm not bothering you."

I smile, sometimes I feel good when she stands up to me, it makes no sense, but I LOVE it.

"Sure then, Yan Yan, where do you suggest that we go find this Xu Kai?"

She looks around for a bit. With a curious face, she points at a food place in the airport. "Let's go there first!"

I hesitate but I follow. Yan Yan has been in China before, while I haven't. You'd think I'm a coward for letting my "servant" guide me instead of me guiding. I trust Yan Yan though, she might be scared of me, but she is definitely loyal.

"What do they sell there? Tell me because I don't want to get poisoned or anything!"

She winces at me raising my voice a bit, but she quickly turns around. She smiles like one of those anime characters I've seen on TV.

"It's a secret Miss! You've got to trust me on this one!"

She goes to wait in line while I sit at a table. When it's her turn, you can just see her excitement while she makes small jumps while ordering. As she approaches the table I picked, she starts skipping towards me.

"What did you order?" I'm not the type to try new things out. That's why I hated the idea of coming here or even ice skating in the first place.

"Miss Xiao Xiao, you will get to try out the authentic Chinese egg rolls!!!" I look at her in confusion. Why is she jumping around like it's a big deal. As if I haven't tried them out before! Of course they are good, but they aren't my favorite. I love healthy food, so I don't usually eat these types of foods.

We wait a few more minutes and eventually hear the small bell ring, and someone call out our order number.

"Number 0325!!!" (Skz fans where u at?) The guy left just as he placed the plate in the counter. I look at the egg rolls. They are the same thing from the ones in the US, what difference could there possibly be!

I look at Yan Yan suspiciously, she looks so excited that she is staring right into my soul waiting for me to eat the egg rolls.

"Ugh fine! I'll eat them, but then you've got to do something for me of I don't like them." She smiles and nods. If only she knew what I'm about to make her do.

I take a bite out of the egg roll. IT TASTES SO GOOD WTH?!? I look at her like I didn't even eat the egg roll. Then I smirk, as she sees my smirk, I can see the horror in her eyes.

"You didn't like it did you..." She says really quietly. I smile and say,

"It was fine!" I shrug and then lean over and tell her, "about my request..."

She goes as pale as a ghost and I can see her hand shaking, last time was a few years back. She has been making sure that she doesn't agree to anything, but today, she must've been so excited that she didn't even notice. She's "traumatized" after I made her help me steal some exam answers with a dude from my highschool class, typical teenager shenanigans, but she has always been a nervous wreck and very highly unlikely to break any rules. The problem is, I make the rules, so she had a hard time with that one.

"I'm not going so "harsh" on you like last time, don't worry. Plus I've got no reason to do that here again. I don't go to school here." I wink at her and stand up. I'll make sure to come for more of these egg rolls another day.

"Give me a piggy back ride all the way to our hotel. You can't let me go a single second. Or else you've got to do something different."

She responds by saying, "But don't we need to find Mr. Xu first?"

I smile and nod as I signal for her to squat down. I get on her back and I can feel she immediately regrets everything. I can hear her curse under her breath. It shocks me she can even curse, but I don't care about that too much.

We head towards the waiting area. Instead of searching for my teacher, Yan Yan starts calling out his name! She's too smart for me ughh.

After calling for a few seconds, a guy steps out from the crowd. He's a prince charming, thats a fact, but I hope I can make him quit.

"Hi Miss Xiao! I'm Xu Kai and I'll be your instructor from now on. By the way why are you carrying someone on your back? Is she injured? I'm sorry, I'll help you!"

Me and Yan Yan are both too shocked to even respond to one of his questions. He brings me off of Yan Yan's back and is careful as he gets me to get on his back instead. After a few seconds, I start reacting.

"Wait! What is going on?!? Why are you carrying me?"

"Miss Xiao's friend, sorry, hi! I'm Xu Kai, I'm Miss Xiao's new figure skating trainer." He shyly smiles at me after saying that. I could melt, but I quickly regain my composure, clearing my throat and getting ready to speak.

"Hi!" I fakely smile, "I'm Cheng Xiao, daughter of one of the CEO's of the Apple Company. I would really like it if you could apologize for touching me without my permission." I end with a straight and confident face. I can see him blushing as he immediately bows and apologizes towards me.

"I'm sorry Miss Xiao, I've never seen your picture so I didn't know." Then he smiles as he rubs the back of his neck with his hand and says, "I won't make that same mistake again, I PROMISE!" He shouts the last part and gets surprised when he notices how loud he was being. I shake my head and then look him up and down. He just stands there, looking a little awkward. It must be his first time having a girl student, or even a student at all.

"So, Mr. Xu, can you take us to our hotel now?"

"... Yea... sure, let's do that first..." He sounds like he is avoiding to tell me something so I try staring into his soul until he tells me. I glare at him and he just looks down.

"What is it?" I raise my voice a bit. I put my hands on my hips with a bit of worry and anger on my face.

"Well you guys are going to be living in a house, not hotel." He looks back up and quickly adds, "It's cleaned and everything, so don't worry about that!"

I'm so disappointed in my dad for not getting us a better deal! I hope not everything goes wrong like this did.
