~Julian's POV~

Finally finished with everything Valdemar asked and submitting my papers to the council feels so... rewarding. I am now resting and looking out beyond the veranda with a cup of tea served by one of the servants earlier.

"A pleasant afternoon to you, Doctor." A voice startled me.

I turned around to see Countess Nadia.

"You are ever as radiant, Countess." I said before sipping my tea.

She smiles and sits across me saying, " Have you seen dear Y/n? I haven't seen their lovely face today. Have you?"

I place my cup down on the table and nod side to side, "No I haven't."

"Why?"

Nadia rubs her temples in frustration and then breathes out to calm her nerves.

"Well, you see.. Lucio has had quite an obsession with your doctor-magician assistant. They tend to be well, 'intruiging' says Lucio. One might even say he has feelings for them." Nadia whispered the last part.

A servant pours tea for Nadia and thanks them afterwards.

"But what about you?" I asked.

It's weird that Nadia is awfully calm about this.

"He's getting on my nerves. Y/n doesn't. They are a fine person. I can confidently say that I might as well, be attracted to them. Their aura is so magnetic even I couldn't resist their charm." Nadia said before sipping her tea.

"Although, I see Y/n as a sibling and could possibly be more if The Arcana allows it to happen. Our fates surely crossed for a reason." Nadia said, sipping her tea again.

"Oh."

I looked at Nadia and then took my cup of tea and sipped on it.

"What about you doctor? Does it bother you that Lucio is obsessed with getting Y/n's attention? Do you fancy them as well?" Nadia asked looking at me from her tea cup.

I choke on my tea and cough it out. I feel my face heating up while looking at everything around the room. I hear Nadia giggle and looked at her. I clear my throat and take a deep breath.

"Don't be shy, doctor. It'll be our secret." Nadia said giving me a playful wink.

My face heats up even more as I try to stutter words out.

"I- I do like having eerr Y/n around. They uhh keep me company." I said stuttering some parts.

The Countess gives me a smirk and I freeze up my chair.

"They--I-- eerr I do not like err ..."

"I-"

"NADI! ILYA!"

Startled by the sudden noise, our attention turns to a white haired man with purple eyes and caramel skin, struggling to breathe as if he was running from a creature bigger than him. Nadia is the first to rise and approaches Asra.

"What is it, dear friend?" Nadia asks clearly worried.

I stand up and approach him, trying to calm him down as much as I can. His breath steadies as he looks up at us.

"Y/n... Muriel...fight..now.." Asra says, out of breath.

"What do you mean?"

The next few words that came out of Asra's mouth, startled us the most.

"Their at the coliseum...Lucio ordered them to fight."
