THE ARCANA: Red Plague Days // On Hiatus

"WOAH!"

I am immediately engulfed with water. My outfit was soaking wet.

"Oh great."

I got out of the pool of water and wrung out my clothes with magic.

"You're back."

I quickly turned around and saw a transparent floating ball of light.

"You never left?" I asked.

It moved side to side and said, "No. I'm always here. I'm a part of your oasis."

I looked around and saw starry skies. Everything around me reminded me of the galaxy. Colors mixed around with tiny glowing blobs of light. There were small cherry blossom trees around as well. There were also plots of flowers. I went there and noticed white and yellow chrysanthemums, marigolds, and red spider lilies. They were as beautiful as the first time I accessed this place.

Flashback

"Come on, Y/n. It isn't that hard to create a spell." Asra said.

"It is hard if you have someone always yelling in your ear." I rolled my eyes.

"Alright fine. I'll leave you be for a moment. Let's see if it works. I'm heading out to get some wolfsbane. I won't be long." He said, grabbing his bag and walking out the door.

"Whatever, Asra. Argh! Why won't this spell work!?" I said standing up and walking away frustrated.

"This is stupid. I wish I could go some place else."

I closed my eyes and sighed. I went back to the spell circle and sat there. I looked at it.

"Just some place to relax would do." I sighed.

Suddenly, the spell circle glows. My vision was now covered with glowing light. I then feel I was being lifted up and then immediately dropped.

"AHHH!"

SPLASH!

Water covered me. I quickly got out of the pool to see everything around me. Beautiful twinkling stars and eye-catching galaxies are above me. I see pink trees and flowers sprouting.

"Hi!"

I quickly turned around and stumbled back as I see a transparent glowing orb of light. I quickly release a spell and stumble to the ground.

"Woah! Careful there." The orb said.

My breath was unsteady as I took in everything around me.

"W-where am I?" I said looking around and then looking back at the orb.

"It's your oasis! A place to get away from the chaotic world out there." The glowing orb said dancing around.

"Oasis? Away from the world?"

"Yeah. It's a beautiful place you have here. By the way, I'm a guide. I usually help young magicians with their new magician's gate and I get to stay with them especially those who die ear- those who die nobly"
