6. Don't Die

CHANYEOL P.O.V

"No. Y/n getting shot wasn't an accident, neither was she surviving it." I saw Jungkook's expressions constructing into one of shock. "What do you mean?" "I want to tell you guys something..." "Remember the day Y/n was shot I spotted the marksman and ran after him?" "Yes. And you didn't find him." I could sense the restlessness in his voice and it made me hesitate my next words even more. "Actually….. I did. And he wasn't alone."

"Chan, you've got some explaining to do."

FLASHBACK TO DAY OF GRADUATION
AT THE BUILDING

I ran to the top, to the roof of the building where I had spotted a dark figure a while ago. But as I got closer to the door I could hear grunts and shouts across it.

'He is not alone?'

"If something happens to Y/n, I swear I'll make sure to see you dead!" I heard someone growl.

I slammed the door open to find two men on the ground with one above the other holding each other's collars. I couldn't see their faces since both of them had their masks on. "Looks like Prince Park is here." One of them said, And to my satisfaction, he was the one currently pinned to the ground. But it didn't stop him from adding another arrogant remark. "Poor Y/n, couldn't survive even after having so many knights around to protect her." He started to laugh like a psycho not caring if I was shooting daggers at him through my eyes.
I stormed towards the marksman and pushed the guy on top of him and yanked him up by the collar.

The surprisingly strong marksman punched me on my face and stood up. I tried to stand up but the other guy wrapped his arms around me preventing me from following the marksman. He ran to the edge of the roof, smirked at me, jumped off professionally to reach the other building, and ran away. I turned around to punch the guy who had stopped me earlier but he was quick to dodge it.

He spoke. "Before you throw another punch at me, let me tell you I'm not the bad guy here" He raised his hands as if to hint that he wanted peace. I backed off from him, still not putting my guard down and started breathing heavily looking down with tears threatening to fall. "You stopped me. He - he killed my-" He kept a hand on my shoulder.

"He wasn't important and chasing him is useless. You should make it fast, your sister needs you more." He said with his deep voice looking deep and looking at me sternly with his big round eyes.

"She should be fine. I was at least able to distract the guy when he pulled the trigger. It should have hit somewhere near her arm, I hope." I nodded. But the fact that he added 'hope' at the end of the sentence made me uneasy. He stood up and went near the end of the roof, he turned towards me.

"And….. if the cops ask, You never saw me or the other guy, got it?" I looked at him confused and he just chuckled, shaking his head. "Ok then, see you soon!" He jumped down while my eyes widened in panic and ran towards from where he had jumped. I looked down to find nothing, just people and cars passing by as if nothing happened.

CHANYEOL P.O.V.

“Ok, so you don’t know who that guy was, his name or his face.” I nodded my head while confusion was written all over their faces. “And he knew Y/n was getting attacked and that you are her brother." Yoongi added. "But how?”

We stayed in silence for a few seconds when I realized something. “Yoongi-ah….. How did you know? You knew we were in trouble, isn’t that why you came with so many men?”
