2. Gunshot

Your POV

As soon as I opened my eyes, blinding lights hit it, making me blink a few times and adjust to the brightness. My blurred sight started clearing a few seconds later and I could see things….. I was staring at a white hospital ceiling above me. I tried to look around and find where I was after all. But as soon as I tried getting up a painful sensation was felt on my shoulder and I groaned in pain causing me to fall back on the bed.

But that's when I heard someone near me. "Y/n! You are awake?!?" I heard Lisa's voice in the room. "Thank god!" She stood up from her seat and stood next to me, and I could finally see her face. She looked really worried and I found tear stains on her face.

'Was she crying all this time??' I thought.

Realisation hit me really late. The incidents that happened to me before I passed out came flowing into my mind. I remembered watching the people suddenly crouching on the floor and Lisa and Rosé running towards me. I tried to remember what happened before, but I couldn't. "How are you feeling now? Are you ok?! Are you feeling dizzy again? Oh my god, I should call the doctor." I heard the panic in her voice increasing so I replied.

"I'm fine Lisa.. But- but what the hell happened?" I whispered, feeling my throat extremely dry. "That's a long story. But first lemme inform the others" She left before wiping off her tears and smiling widely.

A few seconds later, Rosé and the others entered the room. And looks like she had her own breaking down moments too. "Thankgod! Y/n! You are alright!" She hugged me real tight and I somehow managed to hide my pain in the shoulder when she did that.

"Let her go Rosé, you are hurting her!" I looked over to Chanyeol who smiled widely at me. But I frowned a bit when I saw a bandage and other bruises on his face. "Chanyeol? What is that band-aid doing on your nose?"

And that question actually made him lose his smile. He looked away from me and I eyed him suspiciously. Lisa started giggling next to me as if she knew a realy funny secret.

"When you got shot, Chanyeol tried to chase the marksman, whom he spotted at the building across, but he slipped and fell off the stairs during the run." Those words got me really confused, because I really have no idea what happened.

"I got what?!" I asked them bewildered. "You got shot. Someone shot you from the abandoned building across the stage using a sniper." Chanyeol answered me. "And you chased him?" Chanyeol caressed my hair when he noticed my worry. "I couldn't find him. He escaped." He said the last sentence though his teeth clearly showing disappointment.

'Why would someone want to shoot me? And why is no one worried about that?!'. I looked at them unbelievably. They were smiling and chatting like they get shot everyday and it's nothing new.

"I still don't understand. Why would anyone want to shoot me?" I asked them in clear disbelief.

Rosé shook her head at me. "Not you pabo! Cho Yeo jeong ssi..!! She was the one who they wanted to kill."

I recalled the beautiful celebrity who attended the graduation and got curious again. "Cho Yeo jeong ssi? Then why me?" I asked them as I wasn't able to understand the reason for their calmness.

"Tell me. What were you doing just minutes before getting shot?" she asked me.

I thought about it…. I remember trying to talk to Cho Yeo Jeong and my phone ringing and then blacking out.

"I tried to talk to Yeo jeong ssi and then sudd-" she cut me off. "Exactly. You were speaking to her and suddenly turned to her side which caused the guy to lose his aim and accidentally shoot you! And luckily it hit your shoulder." "And you will be discharged soon." Chanyeol added.
