7. Escape The Past

"They won't leave us alone Y/n"

I couldn't understand a single word he spoke. Is it about the people who tracked us? "Tell us what happened? Why are you crying?" He hugged me tightly and I looked at Jungkook concerned.

"I got fired.

"What?! Why?! You are their best employee Chan!" "He said it's too dangerous to keep me there. He said he can't employ someone who has connections with criminals." Jungkook came sit beside him hurriedly and asked. "It's them again? They threatened your boss, didn't they?" He nodded, burying his face in his palms.

I know he is hurt deeply. It was his dream job. He can do amazing things by just typing something on the computer, he is the 'computer genius' as his colleagues call him. He worked for years for this job, and it was one of the top companies in the whole of South Korea. "It will be okay, Chan."

"You don't understand Y/n. I'm your brother, I'm supposed to protect you and take care of you. Rosé won't be able to earn enough for us. What about your further studies? I wanted to work for you and Rosé, so that you could live happily and never feel like you lack anything."

"Hyung...." We stilled, our breath stuck in our throats. Jungkook never uses honorifics unless it's our parents. Neither do we. He has never called anyone hyung. We believe it's not necessary to show our respect or love for eachother through words, because we know we care. And we are first friends then brothers or sisters. "Please don't cry hyung. It's fine. You have us. You don't always have to worry about us." "You are talented. You will find a job worthy of you." I added.

"I can help you with that." We raised our heads to see Yoongi, surprised to see him standing in front of us. "Yes I heard everything. You guys were too busy crying with my best bud to notice me." Chanyeol smiled.

As if on cue the door slammed open revealing Wooshin. "Hey guys! Nice seeing you again. But you have to see this." "How did you even pass the security?" Yoongi asked surprised. "No time for that. The guards are trying to handle the situation. Follow me." We got up from our seats and followed a hurriedly jogging Wooshin out of the house and he led us to our house, I mean, my old house.

There was a huge vehicle parked in front of our house with a lot of people dressed in suits like bodyguards surrounding it. What made us fasten our steps was when we saw a lot of similarly dressed men throwing our furniture and other stuff out of the house.

"What's going on here? Stop!" I caught one of their collars forcing him to drop our items. Jungkook grabbed another. "How dare you trespass!? Back off before I report this to the cops!" We glared at the men, expecting them to either explain themselves or run away when we heard a voice from behind.

"Well, well, well If it isn't the Park family who have assembled here. I was worried I might have to do this without an audience. And I see the Min has rejoined the clan too." Lucas walked towards us along with his other men also dressed in a charcoal grey casual blazer with a white T-shirt, evidently more expensive than the men with him while he wore a smug smile on his face.

"I'm concluding you are the one behind all this?" He lazily stepped in front of us and said- "Well, yeah. We are. We were planning on a little renovation you know? Throwing away all the trash and replacing it with new furniture. " "Such a pretty house, isn't it? We can earn a fortune if we put it up for sale! I wonder who the boss is gonna give this house to. I like it too much!" He said dreamily, pretty sure, mocking us.

"That's enough! I've heard enough bullshit for the day! I'm calling on 112 (Korean version of 911) Wooshin, whose name I figured out just a few minutes ago, glared at Lucas, digging his pockets for his phone but- "That's just gonna make my job easier, but I don't want my pretty Parks to get arrested before I throw your precious hard work out and snatch your house away from you."
