Darcy Pov:

I awoke, still in Jimmy's arms. It warmed my heart that they wanted me to feel safe, so they made sure I didn't have any nightmares. I did dream about Monica, however. But they were good dreams. I somehow managed to snake my way out of their arms without waking them up.

I knew they wouldn't be feeling good, so I decided that we'd stay here until their period ended or Jim's friend came. I got out of the tent, and left a sticky note to Jimmy and placed it on the exit of the tent so they wouldn't miss it and wonder where I am. I also left some sweet, salty, and savory snacks, as I didn't know what he craved.

I looked at my phone to see it was 12:27 pm, that seems like enough time to get some water and get back by 1:00. I also see that I'm quickly running out of battery. Only 15% left on it, and even less on Jimmy's. I start my journey, and finally get there after around 15 minutes. As I'm scooping the water into a gallon jug, I feel a prickling on my neck. I look behind me, but see nothing. I turn back around and continue. But the feeling doesn't stop. I try my best to ignore it as I pick up the full bucket. This'll be a pain to carry back.

I grunt as I pick up the heavy jug full of water out of the lake. My hair on my neck stands up. I whip my head back, trying to see whatever it was, but nothing was nearby except the hex.

The hex? The lake was previously a quarter of a mile out from the hex. But it seemed to be closer now.

But of course it couldn't be! That's crazy! I must be dehydrated or something.

But then I notice something.

A tree.

Totally normal I would normally think.

But THIS isn't normal.

As I stare at the angry red wall and at the tree, it seems as if the wall is getting closer.

I sit down and rub my eyes, making sure I'm actually seeing this.

It's true.

The hex is expanding.

I gotta go!

I drop the water, and start running. I look behind me, and the walls are gaining on me! I then look below me, and see a trail of water expanding from the jug. Oh shit! I try to run out of the path of water, but it quickly reaches me and I slip!

I try to scramble up, but I can't get a steady hold on anything! I look up at the looming wall as it towers multiple miles over me.

"Oh fuuuuuu"
