All Those Late Nights (Part Two)

Up until now, Jes still doesn't have a clue kung bakit niya ba iniyakan si Avery that night. Yeah, he gets it that they somehow became close already at kahit paano naman he treated him as his friend. Walang maisip si Jes na sagot sa tanong niya, honestly, so to ease his mind inisip niya na lang that it's because he kinda feels guilty dahil may point rin naman si Avery. May alam siya pero hindi niya sinabi.

It's been weeks since he got that heated conversation with Avery and until now, he still hasn't heard from him. He wanted to reach out to apologize but how can he do that if he's blocked?

He just contented himself with looking at Avery's latest posts. Hindi naman siya binlock nito sa Facebook so he was still able to see that Avery's getting better dahil mukha naman itong masaya sa posts niya.

Jes was doing okay as well. He was trying to take away the ugly feeling he has dahil sa nangyari sa kanila ni Avery and so far, the attempts were successful.

Then one night, he received a message from Belle.

May sinabi pala sakin si Avery about you 😂

His curiosity was immediately piqued. Nagpa-suspense pa nga ang loka-loka, Jes thought.

Buti naman at sinabi rin agad ni Belle ang mga sinabi ni Avery sa kanya.

Sabi niya gusto niya na daw mag-sorry sayo kaso nahihiya daw siya

That painted a big smile on Jes's face. And again, he doesn't know why. Hindi na rin niya inisip kung bakit because he knows na kahit mabaliw siya kakaisip sa sagot, wala naman siyang makukuha.

On the other hand, he thinks he knew why. Ayaw niya lang aminin sa sarili niya.

He immediately checked their chatbox and saw that he's not blocked anymore. Sinabi niya naman agad ito kay Belle and she seemed delighted as well. She even teased him of having a crush on Avery which he dismissed.

Nights after that, kay Avery naman siya nakatanggap ng message.

Jes, sorry na. Hindi ko naman sinasadya magalit sayo. I mean, hindi naman talaga ako galit sayo. Sayo ko lang nalabas yung inis ko. Sorry talaga, Jes. Tsaka sorry kung hindi ako nakapag sorry agad. Hindi lang talaga kita makausap kasi nahihiya din ako sayo. Nakakahiya yung ginawa ko. I understand if you're still mad, Jes. Pero wag ka nang magalit sa akin, please? Sorry na talaga.

And just like that, they're okay again. Now here he is, waiting for Avery to arrive para sunduin siya. They agreed to meet to go to the newest food park in town.

"Jes!" He looked up from his phone when he heard his name. And there he is, riding his motorcycle. Boy, Avery's just wearing a plain gray shirt and black shorts but that's enough to make Jes drool because of his hotness. He doesn't even know that he'll bring a motorcycle when he said he'll pick him up and Avery riding a motorcycle just made him sexier.

"Tagal mo naman!" Jes said jokingly, trying to bury his thoughts in the back of his mind.

Avery laughed and his eyes disappeared. "Sorry na. Just want to make sure that I have enough gas para mahatid din kita mamaya. And wear this."

Avery handed him a helmet which he immediately took. "Hiniram ko 'yan sa pinsan kong may kuto so baka meron ka na rin mamaya pero at least safe ka, 'di ba?"

That made both of them crack up. "Then, kukutuhan mo ako for the rest of the summer vacation," Jes said.

"Sure, ikaw pa ba." Avery winked. And even if mata niya lang ang kita ni Jes, he still finds that cute. "Sakay na, Jes."
