The beginning - 1

3rd POV:
The girl lay on her back whilst humming quietly to the empty darkness and the endless stars.

How long had she been here? She did not know. She knew not much of the place she resided in nor her existence except her name and basic common knowledge.

From the moment she was 'born' she had been met with the darkness and light from the stars.

Due to infantile amnesia, she had forgotten most of her childhood but the earliest memory she could recall had been the same as it had ever been: the darkness and the stars.

Hours, weeks, days and years flew past but only felt like a couple of seconds until a sudden, slightly loud, deep voice resonated through the emptiness.

"Y/n it is time. You have finally reached the time for you to leave and fulfil your duty."

Confused, but not scared, the young female sat up but before she could start bombarding this voice with questions, it continued.

"I understand you must be confused but I will try to summarise it for you. We are currently residing in the space between alternate timelines and dimensions. You're duty is to correct these various dimensions and bring a "happy ending" to those deserving and justice to those who have wronged. In order to correct them, you must travel to these various dimensions and alter it by intervening when needed. Questions?"

A baffled Y/n could only try to process half of the information. Her entire existence was solely to "correct" these dimensions? How was she meant to do that?

" Uhm ok I think I get the gist... but how do I do that? And not to mention I have a ton of questions about 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴" she gestured to the vast darkness, "And you."

"Yes I'm sure you have lots of questions about 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 and me. Well rest assured your questions will be answered...eventually I'm a very busy being."

"Eventually?"

"Yes. Moving on you will begin your mission in this first dimension. We call it dimension KNY-205. (proceeds to explain about demons, demon slayer corps etc) Here, you will be required to find a boy and a girl called Tanjiro and Nezuko Kamado. Travel with them and alter their fates, for the better I hope."

"Sounds... doable? But if I die what happens?"

"You will be transported here and will have failed which ultimately results in the lives that were meant to saved, weren't. Questions?"

Giving the girl no time to ask, the voice continued. "Oh well, I wish you luck"

Y/n felt a force push her into a bright light which had seemingly appeared out of nowhere, tumbling into the beginning of her journey.
