Time skip and you are now 13 years old.

Y/n's pov:

After being in this world for 13 years I have learnt many things and learnt to cherish people. My family and I live a peaceful life in the mountains.

We own a small shop in town where we sell little trinkets, specialising in making little figures out of wood and pieces of jewellery.

I usually help out by making them since my parents have taught me how to and I often help take the items to our shop.

It would be more convenient to live in town, but my family prefers being more solitary and peaceful which is why we live in the mountains.

Usually, one of my parents wake up early in the morning and go down to the shop, and the other makes more trinkets to sell and I take them. That's our usual routine and I love it.

I know I'm on a mission and I'm looking for a boy called Tangerine or something like that but I've been trapped in never ending darkness and now I finally get to enjoy life! I feel like i deserve this!

But today is like any other day, and I'm at home with my mum making little trinkets.

The only day we take breaks is New Years and our birthdays and that's fine by me.

New Years is coming round the corner so I want to get my parents something nice but I'm always with them which is why i want to stay over at my friend's house to make something.

"Hey mum."

"Mhm" my mum answered, momentarily darting her eyes to my face and then back to her work.

"Would it be ok if I went to Mitsuri's tomorrow?"

"Oh uhm ok! Any special occasion?"

"Nothing I just promised her I'd come over sometime."

Mitsuri is my only friend. She's sweet and a year older than me so my parents trust me with her. She's obsessed with getting a husband; something that has never really appealed to me but seeing how much my parents love each other makes me want to care about someone just as much.

Time skip to the next day:

I waved goodbye to my mum as I walked to town with my dad. Unlike us, Mitsuri lived in town with her 4 siblings and parents.

I usually don't go to hers often, so my parents were quite shocked when I asked.

"Well sweetie, want me to pick you up or are you coming home by yourself?" My dad looked down at me with a smile whilst he ruffled my h/c hair.

I smiled and looked back at him. "It's ok dad don't worry, I can get home by myself."

"Ok. Geez look at you! All grown up. It's almost as if yesterday you could barely walk."

I could only hum in response because unbeknownst to them, I could remember everything, from the moment I arrived here.

Finally arriving at Mitsuri's, my dad glanced at me.

"Ok now don't stay too late. And remember if anything happens, I'm in the shop. Got it Y/n?"

"Yep."
I gave my dad a kiss on his cheek as I waved him goodbye and he went to the family shop.
