Just a quick note: Thank you for all the reads! It's crazy, almost 100 reads in just a few days! It really means a lot to me. I have another Sandman story in the works! But I'm having a bit of trouble, should it just be a Fem! Reader? Or a FTM? Please comment your thoughts<3

Two Months Ago
Morpheus had been in the library to unwind, by Lucienne's suggestion, and came across a rather interesting tale. One he had seen before, only for a moment, no more than a glance, never really giving it a read.
'Life for Eternity'
The journal of a mortal by the name of Y/n L/n. But that's the thing, isn't it? Because that can't just seem to...die. Or so the journal states. The name rang a bell in his boundless memory.
Even after reading it, Morpheus wanted more knowledge. You had stopped logging in around 1509. But your entries weren't consistent anyhow, and you hadn't started writing until 1387. So, wanting answers, he went to find your dream log.
It didn't take long, and once he found it he was surprised to see that it was thinner than he expected, considering you'd been around for as long as you had. The journal wasn't specific, clearly meant as a book of fiction for the other mortals, but the pain and despondency was very clear even within your vague descriptions.
He wasn't sure how long it took to read your log, nor how long it took to understand some of your language and history. But eventually he made it to the current end.
Now here's what he did know of the beginning of your past.
You were born in the year 232 BC.
You had an older brother, that died in battle.
You had had a wife who gave birth to a healthy baby girl after the war. The war you were cursed.
They both died eight years later from an unknown illness.
And from then on, you traveled the world trying to find and lose yourself with each given situation and opportunity. You'd been broken, sure both your heart and mind were beyond repair. And you still were.
You had fallen in love, heart broken each time as your lover passed on into the unknown beyond. You had learned new skills, some forgotten just as quickly. You had almost perfected every language there was to be spoken, though you hardly used most of them.
You had very little dreams. Often replaced by an overwhelming amount of nightmares, or no sleep at all. You had gone weeks, months, and many years without sleep, and it didn't affect your body one bit.
Extraordinary.
And even with this additional information, he couldn't find a reason, a way as to what made you tick. He knew your past, your present, had predictions of your possible future, but he couldn't really figure out...you.
It was unusual for him to take so much interest in someone such as you, but your story was so simple yet so....complex. He found himself wanting to know more.
Placing the book back, he went to see if he could check in on you and your dreams as you slept, knowing there must be some hint of what else there was to you.
Nothing.
Zip.
Nada.
He couldn't find you anywhere within his realm, and soon came to the conclusion that you weren't asleep. Now, looking back on it, He thought. His last dream, or nightmare should I say, was over a month ago.
