"FIRST BUMP - MATTER CHOICE"

"Hey! Did u enjoyed it?"
Dad asked while he's still holding the steering wheel turning his head at me.

"Had a great time dad! One of the best moment of my life, especially with you, just like the old times"

I smiled at him showing how much I appreciated what we did today.

"Okay then, I'm glad, I enjoyed it too and had a great time with you baby Ten"

He let go of the steering wheel and faced me showing his teasing smile.

"Dad! I swear!"

We already settled that he will stop calling me that, considering I'm a grown up na, he really loves to spoil, though dalawa lang naman kami, but the moment he knew mom was pregnant and that it was a boy, he was so excited and happy.

"Okay okay, sorry baby ops, anyways, we're here..."

We stayed in the car for I don't know how long, and the only sound we can hear are the crickets and vehicles which are passing by.

And after that ass long of silence, dad eventually said something.

"Ten? I need to tell u something, always remember that daddy always love you okay? I want u to know that u need to be brave okay? Not for others but for yourself, you get me? Always stand up for your rights okay? Promise me you'll be strong, promise me you'll be strong for Daddy, for Mama and for bunso"

He holds both of my hand and envelope them with his. I didn't know if my mind was just playing with me but, I saw the sadness and hurt in his eyes. It feels like he's talking to me deeper than what he actually means.

"Dad what are you saying?"

I don't know what's happening, I don't know why he's saying those to me, I'm lost for a moment, thinking what this is all about.

"Just promise me that you'll be strong for Daddy, promise me that you'll never forget me okay? Promise daddy that I will always be your super dad, Ten promise me"

He desperately said while I still don't get what he means, the confusion is clearly evident on my face.

"Yes Dad of course I promise you, now tell me what is this all about"

My brows are creased almost closing it's distance, lost for something I'm clearly not aware of. But the panic starts to sink in, my heart started beating fast yet still unaware of what's happening.

"Your mom might be waiting for you, go on now"

He gestured the car door for me.

"What? And why are you not leaving the car? Dad? What's this all about?"

I panically asked and I don't know what I'm feeling anymore, it's all mixed up.

"I love you Ten, just ask your mom, she'll tell you and explain you everything, I love you so much and goodbye"
