Her forehead is on fire, but the rest of her body is freezing even under the covers, her eyes flicker open when my hand reaches her head she turns her head looking where the clock was placed hours ago, "it's 3:55" I say calmly she nods facing me furthermore her eyes are the only thing that's back to normal so far, her skin is still as pale.

I clap my hands, "didn't know you had so much experience with love" she tilts her head, "seriously? I am as much educated in love as you are in sex"
She grasps her chest with her left hand, "you're good?" she closes her eyes, "yeah-" she whispers, "you don't look like it" she takes a short fast breath and shakes her head, "I am fine, I promise".
"I would've thrown him out" I turn my head, where did he come from? "Leo you're becoming worse than her with doors at this point" I point at Maya, never met someone worse than her with opening doors without knocking...Leo is winning these days, "it wasn't even closed" he argues, "oh, So you just open it?" standing beside him, I realize for the first time I am the same height as him, always thought I was taller...shorter.
"It's fine, It's not like you were naked or something" he throws his hands explaining, "what if I was?" I repeat his movement.
"I can't believe you 2 own an entire mafia" his head snaps to her followed by mine, "he does, I don't" yes, I am very proud I don't deal with being a boss.
Maya gives me a side glare before shifting her eyes towards Leo, "where's Kate?" she asks her voice barely appearing, "she's sleeping" Maya's expression turns into a sad one after his words, "are you sure your okay?" I demand, "perfectly fine".
I don't believe her, I can't.
"Are you hungry? Thirsty?" she shakes her head, "it's 4 am Taylor" she mumbles, "4:25 exactly" I report taking a look on the half-functioning clock on the floor, "put that clock back up" she orders, "no" I let out immediately, "come on, It's entertaining" who the fuck enjoys looking at a clock, "oh so I am not enough" I point at myself.
