Fortunately, I was wearing a strapless bandeau top and short ripped jeans under which I found in the bathroom so he did not have much to see.

It was my night, I did not have much to fear. I joined him on the bed.

"What would you like to do?", I asked him. "Netflix, coffee, reading, video games?" I continued

"None of those.", He said giving me a eyebrow raise

"Not even a movie?"

"Let's make our own movie"

"Mhmm, how?"

"Truth or Dare."

"Sounds great!"

It was a great chance for me to ask him all the questions about him that bothered me.

"You go first". I urged him

"Truth or Dare?"

"Truth."

"Do you have a crush?"

"Yeah."

" Who?" He said sounding interested

"A guy who has no clue I like him"

"He must go crazy, when he finds out"

"So who do you like?", I asked
He chuckled, "a girl who likes this guy who has no clue that she actually does."

My eyes popped out, "What... did you say?. A girl who actually has a clue...what?", I asked him. " I'm sorry could you repeat that? I don't know if I heard you right." I begged

"Barbie, I don't repeat myself. I only talk once."

"Oh please, it sounded confusing. I just want to know the girl you like."

" Your turn."

"No Marx, we're not continuing until you..."

He lips stole the words from mine; his tongue grazing thoroughly through my mouth. I had never kissed but I could swear he was perfect at it. I couldn't kiss him back, I just did not know how to. It felt good anyway.
I threw my head back causing his lip to land on my throat as it was getting intense.

I asked him, pulling up his chin with my index finger, "I didn't like it, could I return it?"
He nodded.
I gave off a sigh, getting up on my knees. I closed my eyes, laying my sweaty palms upon his cheeks and tried kissing him the way he did me earlier. It was slow-- much expected from a novice. I paused. "Could you teach me everyday?"

He whispered,"As you wish."

"Till I become perfect." I shyly said.

He smirked. "Your turn."

"Truth or Dare"

"Truth."

"Okay, who is Leslie to you."

"Dang! I don't know why every girl I come across asks me about her."

"Because you're so close to her"

" That's because she's my relative; one of my mum's many relatives."

"Do you kiss your relative?"

He gave me a long stare, saying nothing all the while

He carried my face between his palms, "Stacy, believe you me, she is my relative. Kissing is like a norm in our family. Can't you see we even have the same surname?"

He represented facts I could not help but believe. "Should I ask her?"

He hissed."Stacy Larson", He called me for the first time by my full name.

"Mhm"

" You don't trust me, do you?"

"Uhh..."

"Shh" he shushed me with his index finger. "Don't be a doubting thomas. Trust me on this, you don't need to ask her anything. I will never lie to you" .

"But..."

"No buts". He sighed. "You don't trust me? It's okay".

He took his shirt and got off my bed, approaching the door.

"What are you doing?"

"I'm leaving!"

"Why?"

"What's the point in talking to someone you don't trust?"

I followed him and stood behind him, " Sorry for making you feel awful. I won't ask her a thing. I trust you, but promise me you won't make me regret doing so."

He left without saying a word.

"Marx! Marx!" I called after him but he ignored me and left. "I'm sorry." I cried, wondering what on earth I was apologizing for, but he was the one I liked, I would swim the ocean if he me wanted to. I apologized one more time over text but he left me on read.

At school, he won't talk to me at all. He kept his distance, making me miss him more. He would not reply my texts making crave for his attention. I could never get enough of him. Other days I wondered why I would still be thinking about someone who doesn't give a heck about me, about all my efforts. Why won't he automatically know that I was in love with him--his soul, his body, everything. Someone who would show interest one day and act completely different the next day upon the slightest misunderstanding leaving me confused to make a choice to move on.

I told my girlfriends Lisa, Lima and Nita about how he was avoiding me over that little issue that happened that night.

" You don't take whatever I say, what else I'm I left to tell you?", one of them asked rhetorically.

"I mean...why would you settle for a guy as toxic as him?" A voice which I knew to be Lisa's asked

"He's just not that perfect guy but..."

Lima interrupted, " Watch how he treats Leslie -like a candle. He  lights her up and watches her as she burns, she melts faster and starts to loose her light. She's not even done burning and he pulls out another candle, lighting it up with the first, and putting off her flame, yeah, because he's not in the mood anymore, he's found a new candlelight".

Her words were too deep for me to take. I just kept mute before thinking of what next to say.

"They're just relatives." I told them

"At this juncture, I'd like to say a bye-bye. I'm going home". Nita said having had enough of me.

"Ion know why I need to say this but you'll have regrets". Lisa looked down nodding.

I tried in all my ways to get him back to me and I finally succeeded after a week of countless hurts and failures.

Now, they would just not say anything anytime I brought him up as a topic. So I left them -ignored them just to spend every waking minute with him. I wanted him by me; all day.
The kissing tutorial, his body -the way it spoke to mine. I did not need a therapist. I was growing and at least I already learned from her that, when I liked someone I should try confessing to the person.

I planned on telling him how I actually felt about him. I was just waiting patiently for an excellent opportunity to tell him. A day when Leslie was completely out of the way. I picked a Sunday afternoon. I was free and my parents were free as usual. We'd meet at the coffee shop down his street and I'd tell him there.

My phone rang and an unexpected name popped up. What would he or she want from me then?
