I forgave him. I cannot describe what it was in me that kept forgiving him. I was being careless with all my decisions, I could not think straight. I was just going through the motions. It felt like my life did not belong to me anymore, my mind was out of control.
I was officially out of school! Everyone was getting ready for our prom night which was fast approaching. It promised to be a memorable one. This time, however, I didn't care about stealing the show. I just dressed in a simple but nice outfit, with a simple hairstyle. I had the potential of being crowned prom queen but I lost it; I didn't want it.
This time my mum was at home, she wanted me to steal the show by selecting a few gowns from her finest collection. She even had this antique gown she said she wore to her prom when she was younger like me. She hired a beautician to take care of my facial, hair and nails. There were lots of hairstyles and nail designs to choose from, however I selected the basic ones. I was just not in the mood but I wanted to go.

I decided to drive myself. I hadn't thought of it earlier, I wanted to come with Marx. It was too late and he would come anyway. He would not miss a night like this for anything.
The lights, the colors, everyone was clothes in finesse. It was a magical spectacle. Half of my mates had arrived and were exchanging pleasantries. I made a bold move, deciding against my will not to socialize with the others. I spotted Lima and co. I joined them, they asked about Marx, my boyfriend -even though they did not know he was. I stood firm on my grounds, sticking to what Marx said and deliberately diverted their attention.

"Holy shit!" Jeremy exclaimed dropping the glass he was holding, dropping his jaw in awe of the girl, elegantly dressed like a princess in the prom gown. I have admit, she looked very beautiful, the lights falling on her dazzling gown as it glittered. Everyone gaped, admiring her as she went by.
"Jerry, close your mouth. It's pretty embarrassing of you as a gentleman to stare at someone in public with your mouth wide open as if your jaw is broken," Lisa spoke with usual sarcasm. He immediately shut it up..
